As for jam bands, Futurelix was pretty jamtronica. They bill themselves as a psychedelic act, but the little bit I saw on that freezing Sunday was jamtronica.

They're not a bad band, but they do not fit in at Day For Night whatsoever.
I don't disagree with that as electric/electronic was sort of the rule with the exception of the Lebanese Brothers. At the same time, Turkuaz can fit into anything. It's always a good time for a funk break. But it wouldn't really fit the mold of acts from 15 or 16.
Elite. Higrade. Last I saw him (tv) was the duet he did with Angelique Kidjo at Carnegie right before she played Bonnaroo. He's at the top of my want list for eclectic though I'd have to brush up on what he's done the last 20+ years. Tom Tom Club reunion would rule too if they can't get Byrne. I want Peter Gabriel for #1, but I know that's not going to happen. Sigur Ros would work out well for me too.
I can't decide if The National would play this. Their touring schedule makes them a possibility but I'm just not sure they fit. If they weren't headliner size I would say yes, but I'm not sure they make sense as one of the top names.

Are they at true headliner status even for this size? I feel like they're close but perhaps a 3 or 4? I thought Gogol Bordello could be a nice addition to this but they're out in Europe during the dates.

The National were #2 on their day at Free Press Summer fest last year, behind Deadmau5. That festival probably sells more tickets and has bigger headliners in general than DFN. I think the most likely thing ruling them out is that they played that festival, in Houston, just last year. They seem like a fine fit otherwise.

Wait...what if #soon is a hint that maybe they are getting My Bloody Valentine? I mean they would definitely fit the bill and they are almost damn near as rare of an act as Aphex Twin. It's possible right?...
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I'm guessing we get the lineup next week. Teasing us like this any longer would be cruel.
While that would be cool as shit, didn't they say they were releasing it in September? Maybe we get a little more of a tease with an act or two sooner?
