When did they release the line up last year? I feel like this is getting ridiculous.
Sept 14th is when CoS published an article with the line up so I assume a day two prior. I forget when Aphex was announced. So I guess were still early but all this teasing with 3 weeks to go would be poor build-up.

Unpopular opinion, but I'm kinda hoping Pretty Lights is our top "crap" EDM act. I actually like his music and he would be tolerable with the Day For Night crowd, plus his new lighting director is a sick bastard.

We won't be getting an announcement because the lineups weren't announced until mid-September and October in previous years. This has been covered relentlessly in this thread.
Pretty Lights live rules, has great musicians and is doing their own soul-funk-EDM thing. We just watched both nights in Chicago last weekend and I dug both shows. Both the ones at Gorge were also musically enjoyable. I'd take this lineup of PL over any popular EDM.
Y'all hang in there in Houston. Looks like a shot at another 20+ over the next couple of days. Also Beaumont/Port Arthur/Orange look to take an ass pounding as well in the next 18 hours.
I mean.. they can always just have it in the NRG Stadium parking lot.
I won't hold a grudge if they can't have it. Housing is going to be tough. Probably hotels will be filled with construction workers for the next 12 months as well as people who are trying to rebuild. Yeah, I want Day For Night because I'm greedy. And I hope they pull it off because I'd love be to be there to support a community who's problems I understand all to well. But being respectful, i will understand if both they and I end up having to make adjustments.

I don't mean to downplay what's going on down here in Houston, but they have plenty of time to find a new location or restore their current one. Houston floods a lot. This is worse than anything we've seen before, but Houston is a city built on a bayou and it doesn't take a 500-year storm like Harvey to flood large parts of the city. The city isn't going to completely shut down for months because of some flooding. Overall, the damage probably won't be as bad as Ike in 2008, because the winds weren't as strong in Houston. Most workers making repairs will probably be further south in the Corpus, Rockport, Port Aransas, Port Oconnor areas. There hasn't been much wind damage in the city proper, and not many people have lost power. We've just gotten the brunt of the rain. I'd be floored if this led to the cancellation of Day for Night.
We have 4 months so it can happen still. It's an old post office that leaks anyway. But again, I won't be disrespectful if shit is tough to pull off. Looks like the center is about to the coast. Feeder bands are loading up, so if you are on the north side with the king of the north Slim Thug, all the way over to the border will probably get another 15-20". Places that didn't get hit so hard in the last round may this time. And Beaumont-PA. Also TWC said there will be controlled releases from Addicks Resovoir tonight beginning at 2 which will help ease pressure but will flood surrounding neighborhoods there. Hope you personally get through unscathed.

I'll be fine. I'm in a good location, as long as I don't get hit by any tornadoes. Maddog is more in danger of flooding, but based on the flood maps, I think even he will be ok.
