God money's not looking for the cure. God money's not concerned with the sick among the pure. God money let's go dancing on the backs of the bruised. God money's not one to choose No you can't take it No you can't take it No you can't take that away from me No you can't take it No you can't take it No you can't take that away from me
You can't fucking take that away from me HEAD LIKE A HOLE BLACK AS YOUR SOUL I'D RATHER DIE THAN GIVE YOU CONTROL
I'm very excited to see NIN again.
Fucking right Pablo. I saw them only once (13 Voodoo) on Trents redemption performance for all those years in the city on heroin and sinking below the bottom only to overcome that addiction triumphantly. I had a chance to see them around 95 at U.N.O. arena and failed. So this shit is big for me. It will eclipse anything I’ve seen on the Red Stage in your fair city. Really looking forward to Saturday D4N. If Laurie and Lanois don’t conflict, it will be a historic ass day for me.

I'd like to take this time to apologize for being way outside my headspace for the nails show at bonnaroo. I distinctly remember a woman yelling at me and telling me to stop leaning on her, the guilt still occasionally gets me.
So Okeechobee sent out an email with a discount for Day for night. I went to see how much the discount is, and it took weekend passes down from $205 before tax/fees to $143.50. Promo code: OKO-DFN for any interested. Offer good for the next 7 days.

also, three years in now, it should be crystal clear....buy the pre-pre sale, or wait until the October-November discounts (PP, SPCA, Okee now I suppose)

As festivals owned and run by different companies I suppose it is weird with no known affiliation.
On the other hand....
Both festivals are considered independent from the likes of the big corporate entities (Livenation, AEG, whatever else there is) so I suppose there is a sort of camaraderie. In Austin; Eurphoria Utopia, FFF/Sound on Sound, Levitation, Art Outside and other smaller fests, including Day 4 Night, frequently marketed each other's festival but wouldn't peep about ACL. With FFF/SOS most likely in the grave, I think it obvious smaller, indie fests are now on life support. It is becoming too expensive, up front, to host a festival without major 7-figure backing.
"Back in the day, festivals were different,” he says. “Bands got paid, production got paid, everyone got paid that weekend, when the bar sales were in, when the sponsors had handed off the check, when all the ticket money came in to the bank account.”
These days, after well-publicized flops like the Caribbean island disaster, Fyre Festival and Pemberton Music Festival in Seattle, which declared bankruptcy two months before it was scheduled to take place, everyone from artist management to the production companies who provide festival essentials like fencing, lighting and sound, demands more money up front.
“I feel like we’re, kind of, one of many smaller events that are independent, that don’t have a massive company behind them who can put a couple million dollars into an operational account,” Williams says. “So that’s why you need, kind of, investors for festivals…That’s why a lot of the festivals have now been bought by Live Nation — so they can fund it and pay themselves back at the end of the festival.”

I'd say it is fairly weird that a festival whose fans were worried it was cancelled because of their recent silence popped their head up to offer discounts for an unrelated festival five hours away.
Edit: My bad, some wires got crossed and I was thinking Okee was in New Orleans. It's in Florida. It's way more than five hours. Duh.
