Went to the wrong airport. Payed a fucking fortune to get back to Detroit a couple hours before I have to go be a real person at work. Sitting next to phantogram’s backing band right now. Shits not all bad

You're not the first. A friend of mine was going to meet us for Hangout and she didn't realize Houston had 2 airports and did the same thing.

you guys weren't exaggerating about how great this festival is. two days wasn't enough. i enjoyed every show i saw and the installations were a great way to spend time in between. i also had a bonzai with tool moment, and was surprised how much i enjoyed nine inch nails. and of course, it was wonderful meeting and hanging with lots of you guys. thank you all for making my first solo festival way less anxiety ridden and lonely as i prepared myself for.
I feel like Saturday had better overall sets, but Sunday didn't have Cardi B.

Pretty Lights gets the most ambition award, I was pleasantly surprised. Rezz, Phantogram were fine, nothing mind blowing but they were both good for what I saw of them. Lil B was interesting but I couldn't have lasted much longer at the set than I did. Heckers set was great but my head was killing me (for real fuck the water situation, free press never had that issue, maybe they think they can get away with it because the cold) and it was LOUD, basically the opposite of Laurie which I could barely hear.
Bummed we missed Jamie and bjarki but it was a mess Saturday night and I just didn't want to deal with it.
We were walking up to the Green stage and saw her on the screen wearing a see-through top - piercings very visible. By the time we got to the sound booth (a much much smaller crowd than I expected), she bailed out to the backstage - it was ten minutes after the set time start. We waited through generic DJ-hype nonsense to see if she'd return, but after 15 minutes, we bailed to the indoors. Fast forward to about 7 minutes left in her set, we went back out and found a huuuge crowd all into it. Just in time for Bodak. She now donned a pretty festive long plaid jacket. And proceeded to twerk in it with her fellow dancers. Interesting book-ends to that set. Plenty more to share later on.
Ha you guys that naked chik was Hoodcelebrity. Cardi B's bitch ass didn't come out on stage until 10min before her set ended. Her fucking DJ literally sat there playing hype tracks for an hour. Cardi came out, did 2 random songs, did Bodak Yellow, complained that it was cold, and went home.
So what I'm hearing is, it was lit.
Just read through the thread and might cry from how sad I am to have missed it.... so glad all y'all had mostly fantastic experiences though. It better stay alive in 2018. I WILL be there.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Hey that was pretty fun. Except for that guy who kept yelling “Yeah!” during Corbin
I was on the verge of tears during The Frail and then the guy behind me goes 'YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ACADEMY AWARDDDDDDD, WOOOOOOOO' and it was like oh yeah, im in a crowd of people.
it was good, i was going to pass on it all weekend, but my group made the decision to do it when there wasn't much going on, and the line moved way quicker than I thought.
the art piece with the drowning city and the dead crabs was a trip though, had no idea what to make of it all.

I was doing okay until the tЯist♡n/beebee/EAP snap I got last night. The jealousy/sadness hit overdrive then.

I don't know anyone here and have always lurked the Day For Night threads for input and laughs, but to show my appreciation to you fine folks, I figured I would share my super amateur footage of Justice I got earlier tonight.
Day For Night has been a glorious festival every year thus far, and it is my hope that it will continue to grow in recognition and perhaps inspire other festivals to up their game.
Thank you again for the thread info and for coming to the wonderful city of Houston to join us for this amazing weekend!
Nice spot for Justice!
You can see Phyre Fest in your video in the media pit.
Justice from rail must have been a powerful experience!
Yup, thats me with the hat backwards. They made us leave right before the end cause they knew the boys were gonna come down into the crowd. THats a great video btw.
