I don't think any festival (except MAYBE Lolla or OSL) has the ability to top Coachella but people will still pretend like other festivals do because they have crazy high standards for Coachella.

Definitely, although part of it's also a quality/quantity ratio. But Coach will always pull in the best unique names, and probably have the most diverse crop of great artists

There are 28 acts I want to see between Friday and Saturday. I also just realized that Kasabian isn't coming by to destroy a tent this year at 8:15 on Saturday.
If you still need W2 tickets, looks like there's a couple for $405 on Stubhub and then a bunch at $420. This is prob the sweet spot to buy now, right around face value-ish.

More weekend one goodies: Club Rhonda event on Friday has Jamie Jones b2b Black Coffee and Thermal event on Saturday has Maceo Plex, Jackmaster and Pachanga Boys.
So, now that Lolla is out, what can we consider exclusive or semi-exclusive here? I'm going off the top of my head, but would be interesting to get this filled out. Think this lineup is a lot more "exclusive" than people are getting it credit for
U.S. '18 Exclusive -Jamiorquai -Soulwax -King Krule -Los Angeles Azules -HAIM (really?)
U.S. Major '18 Exclusive -A Perfect Circle -Miguel -Kamasi Washington -Fleet Foxes -Vince Staples

Jean-Michel Jarre, Dreams, Benjamin Clementine, Carpenter Brut, X Japan, plus a lot of the electronic and lower rock acts are pretty exclusive as well.
Beyoncé and Angel Olsen. And idk how we're defining "major", but David Byrne?
Byrne is playing Panorama, Jazzfest, Shaky Knees, Beale St, Sasquatch.. Not really exclusive
That's why I was wondering how we're defining Major
-Fleet Foxes are playing Shaky, Boston Calling, Pano, Pitchfork -APC are playing some of the midwest rock fests -Miguel's got a couple other fests on the books

Lolla usually shares 80% of its lineup with Osh though, but with worse conflicts and a shittier layout... And 2 tickets to Osheaga costs about the same as 1 GA ticket for Coachella.

By "top" are you referring strictly to line up?
Yeah line up. And the reason I said Lolla over Osheaga is because of booking power. Lolla could get two big name headliners and still have a great undercard (although they didn’t do that this year but that was intentional). Osheaga is almost always better but Lolla has the ability to make something that’s able to compete with Coachella.

For major I would say stuff in the Lolla, Bonnaroo, Gov Ball, Panorama, OSL, ACL size range.
A Boston Calling, Beale Street, Sasquatch, Voodoo, Forecastle, etc. would be in the next tier.
So a Byrne, who is playing Panorama, I probably wouldn't call exclusive in either category. A Benjamin Clementine who is playing Sasquatch or Big Thief who is playing Pitchfork, I'd still call a Major Exclusive. I think you get credit when you bring acts to the table that a lot of the homogeneous big fests don't.

W1 is still $550+
This is not the sweet spot at all. W2 will keep dumping down in the $350 range at least, possibly lower.
