The Coachella Live Stream is adding a 4th Channel this year for VR which will cover Main Stage and Sahara Tent in a 3D-180 degree stream. It will be interactive allowing you to scroll 180 degrees around to view the experience in 3D. Alternatively, you can use a mobile device, a strong WiFi connection and a Coachella VR headset, Google Daydream headset or any other VR headset to view the stream in Virtual Reality.
I don't have the hardware yet, but I'd imagine this is sort of the model we'll be going to for watching live streams in the next few years where you're immersed into a show pretty much like you were there.

Oh that's fuckin sweet. I can't imagine it's gonna be too great it's first year, but if they stick with it, it could be really cool by like 2020.

Can you post a link? I saw the "artists" tab but I couldn't get it to activate the way I found it. I'll post the artists on the live stream thread in the root of festivals, and then once the schedule comes out and I find it, I'll put up the times and shit. Thanks.

Go to the Coachella YouTube page here. Under the Coachella 2018 tab, it'll auto load the current videos. Directly underneath the Coachella 2018 tab, there's tabs for "videos" and "artists." Click "artists" and you should see all the artists streaming this year.

He's planning something that Tollett says could match Zimmer on the Richter Scale.
“Super interesting and I’ve got to get the word out to the people that are coming,” Tollett said. “Don’t sleep on that one. That’s going to be so insane. He’s nighttime Outdoor Theatre. It’s going to be a bigger stage than usual and we’re letting it rip out there. It’s sort of like when Hans Zimmer played. When you book it, it’s like, ‘Oh, Hans Zimmer is cool, of course. Who doesn’t want Hans Zimmer?’ Then, after you’ve released the poster, you realize, oh, it’s way better than you thought. I’ll admit, I didn’t realize how over-the-top the reaction was going to be for Hans Zimmer.”
Jarre, who collaborated with Zimmer on his 2016 album, “Electronica 2: The Heart of Noise,” told The Desert Sun he’s planning an immersive electronic experience that also will serve as an alarm to the threat of climate change.
“Since I have been making music for quite a few decades now, I have had two major influences threading through my work: technology and ecology,” he said. “Forty years ago, when I composed ‘Oxygène’ as a manifesto, an alarm, to create awareness around climate change, we certainly were not many beating that drum.”

According to an alleged copy of the radius clause, included in the lawsuit, artists playing this year's festival are restricted from playing any festival or themed event in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington or Arizona from December 15, 2017, until May 7, 2018. Aldrich argues radius clause agreements hurt smaller cities and festival programmers and don't provide many benefits to Coachella since the event sells out months in advance.

I don’t think this lawsuit has much of a chance, but that’s an aggressive radius clause of it really does apply to more than just the top few bands.
this is pretty interesting because this festival takes place during Coachella. Wonder if Coachella has a larger radius for during the festival and a smaller one for dates outside of the festival dates
Edit: this is even more interesting because Fleet Foxes is playing a non AEG venue in Oregon tonight.
