Im not sure why yall think that Goldenvoice wouldnt have made booking Eminem a priority. Its obviously different in terms of critical appeal but this would be like missing out on Outkast in 2014

Because multiple sources have indicated this was a late-stage booking.

I really can't stand HAIM. Not because they're the worst thing in the world, but because they rode their first above average album for 4 years, continually getting higher and higher billing. Then, they release their next album which is a superb flop and I think HA! Here we go! No more HAIM at the top of lineups! And yet here we are, with them fucking subbing on Saturday at Coachella in 2018.

I also think Eminem is getting too much hate here. Last time I saw him ('14) it was a great show, and I really don't expect the setlist will be Revival-heavy. Here's the most recent for reference: www.setlist.fm/setlist/eminem/2017/bramham-park-leeds-england-53e29f61.html (not too much added from MMLP2, and that was far better received). I also understand that he's play "a lot" of shows this year (though atm only Coachella, GovBall, BC + lolla rumored? - all but GB/BC in totally different areas of the country), but it's a relatively rare show in the long run. He doesn't really tour much.

Yeah, them subbing is especially weird. SZA and ODESZA i can understand, but HAIM seems really out of place.

What? They intentionally missed out on Eminem and didn't make him a priority for the last 15 years when they had plenty of opportunities to book him.
Which is another reason why having him now, on the obvious down-slope of his career and far past his expiration date, seems all the more strange.

IIRC, Eminem always had an insanely high fee. He probably lowered it quite a bit now to be more relevant hence his billings now.

So Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, ACL, Frauenfield Open Air Fest, T in the Park, Osheaga, Oxegen Festival, Leeds, Reading, Pukkelpop, V Festival, and whatever the Kanrocksas Festival is could afford these insanely high fees, but Coachella, the highest grossing festival in the world, couldn't?

Something to Tell You flopped? Maybe in terms of sales? I don't know the numbers. Not as good as Days Are Gone, to me, but nowhere near a flop. I thought their set at Lolla in 16 was pretty good, too. I agree they're not quite sub level, but they're not too far off
After doing a quick count of the acts on the poster, I believe the Sonora is incorporated and the festival is essentially booked. Also after getting a bit more familiar with the lineup, seems to be at least 4-6 obvious Sonora acts each day. I guess we're back to the pre-2017 thought of maybe adding an act or two before the set times.
One odd thing is the number of Sunday acts. Usually there are less Sunday acts because it ends one hour before, but it's the most acts this year; a little strange?
Total on each day (might be off 1 or 2 per day, I'm tired):

Given the big media push when it was released, I don't think the second album paid dividends in terms of a hit single as well as overall album streams.
The only thing I saw yesterday when I ran a google search was W2 for amex. Said W1 was sold out. I bought one W1 presale but need to buy one more and was hoping for amex link as well. I'll let you know if I track one down.
American Express Card Members can get access to Coachella 2018 beginning Friday, 1/5 12pm PT
Edit-only weekend 2
Yea I just clicked on the link for shits and giggles, zoomed straight throught the queue - as I watch my W1 blue man struggle. Although now at 3/4 in one browser. My other two browsers are on their 2nd and third line, respectively.
