In breaking down the Coachella lineup the randomly bash Coachella for not having enough historical female headliner, bash it as being too mainstream, and dismisses all unique acts as no big deal. In breaking down Gov Ball, they praise "interesting live elements" of the electronic acts, praise leaving an act hidden (then hope it's Cardi B), and praise the fact that every artist is in the same font size.
Writer is from Brooklyn, so I'm assuming either major bias or a relationship with Founder's but it's a pretty funny read.
I cosponsor many, many articles - often outdoors, in the mud and the rain... it's possible I cosponsored that one. There'd be no way of knowing.

What do you expect from a writer who christens herself as Brittany NO FOMO.

Been going through the playlist TickleMeElmo so kindly curated, favorite discoveries so far:
Carpenter Brut: Heard this dude evoked a more modernized John Carpenter sound, so went in expecting subdued songs like S U R V I V E have. Nope, plenty of danceable, 80s-inspired synthwave. 6LACK: Hip-hop/R&B in the vein of Jeremih, not too shabby. Alvvays: I knew "In Undertow," but really enjoy them. Aminé: Knew this guy from the song "Caroline," but not did expect to enjoy his other songs so much. His rapping/singing fusion reminds me a bit of Anderson .Paak. B Boys: Great punk/rock band. Banes World: Very chill and relaxed band, right up my alley.
Man, I'm so on the fence about going this year. I have my hotel and ticket, but I can't wait if I'm going to book a flight, and Southwest doesnt fly to Palm Spring which means if I buy one now and dont go, it probably wont be refundable. So lets make a list of artists I'd want to see.
FRIDAY:
Jamiroquai St Vincent Vince Staples Soulwax Jean-Michel Jarre Daniel Caesar Kali Uchis Maceo Plex Black Coffee Moses Sumney Tank and the Bangas Detroit Love Benjamin Clementine The Blaze Avalon Emerson
SATURDAY:
Queen Bee David Byrne Alt-J Post Malone Fleet Foxes Chic Angel Olsen Jungle Tash Sultana BROCKHAMPTON Alvvays The Black Madonna Benjamin Booker Yaeji Oh Sees Busy P Jackmaster Hundred Waters Pachanga Boys Ron Gallo Bane's World
SUNDAY:
Portugal The Man A Perfect Circle King Krule 6lack FIDLAR LP Motor City Drum Ensemble Chris Liebing Talaboman Joseph Capriati Kolsch Omar-S Michael Mayer
Okay so it literally seems like I'd be spending almost 85% of the time in Yuma and then most likely some of the tent/stage acts I want to see will conflict, especially on Friday. Ughhhhhhh. Maybe I'll wait for Movement Detroit to drop and see how many of these guys are headed there, then decide.

You should go. I wanna go. I couldn't see as many acts that I want to see at the same place over a weekend anywhere else in North America.
1. The War on Drugs 2. Jamiroquai 3. St. Vincent 4. Soulwax 5. Perfume Genius 6. Moses Sumney 7. Jean-Michel Jarre 8. Vince Staples 9. Greta Van Fleet 10. Daniel Ceasar
HM: Los Angeles Azules, Kelela, the Regrettes Wild Card: My gf is from Toronto and has been a huge Weeknd fan for years. I've seen him with her four times and may have to put in #5 unless one of my top 3 conflict and I decide to risk pissing her off
Saturday
1. Beyonce 2. David Byrne 3. Fleet Foxes 4. Chic 5. Angel Olsen 6. X Japan 7. Big Thief 8. Priests 9. Oh Sees 10. Cherry Glazerr
HM: Ron Gallo, Tash Sultana, Jorja Smith, Black Madonna, Jungle, Django Django, the Bronx, Sudan Archives, Alwways, etc. Wild card: I've seen Haim almost double digit times but may get caught up seeing them with friends; love the new Tyler album but don't know if I want to mess with probably a shitty crowd to see him
Sunday:
1. A Perfect Circle 2. King Krule 3. Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever 4. Kamasi Washington 5. Miguel 6. The Drums 7. Fidlar 8. Japanese Breakfast 9. Cardi B 10. Portugal the Man (I guess?)
HM: Not a big day for me - might finally start exploring the Yuma on this day if I have gaps or come in late if it lines up well Wild card: I would be really devastated if A Perfect Circle plays before 6 PM and would throw a wrench into my day. Really hoping for an hour on the outdoor post 9 PM. Checking out 20-30 mins of Eminem then bouncing problem the play, but wild card if he surprises me.

Trying to find a couple more stage shows for you. Priests, Cherry Glazer, Big Theif all seem like ones you’d been into, Saturday.

still pissed i missed half of Thundercats set because my shuttle driver missed a left to turn into the coachella property and had to drive completely around the entire estate. fuck that guy.
I might be one of the few people who prefer designated drinking areas at a fest this big. Seems to be less drunk people and less trash everywhere.
I hate trash and don't litter at festivals or anywhere else. I don't mind drunk people as long as it's within reason. But being born and raised where I'm from, alcohol laws (and rules in this case) seem really petty.

If you decide not to go and want to sell me your ticket lmk

Assuming I am from the same place as you (Louisiana). I really enjoy the beer gardens. While I agree that I don't litter, EVERYONE else does and causes the festival grounds to look like shit. I was very much in the camp of "this is dumb" heading into my first coachella. Now, I enjoy it quite a bit - and save money as a result.
I arrive for the day go grab a beer and fill my camelback in the beer garden (shortest lines) and get a lay of the land and a feel for the day then head out.

Sorry, but it's impossible to enjoy good music unless you're allowed to slop lukewarm Miller Light all over your fellow concert-goers and then toss your cup into the air with a "wooooo" as Portugal. the Man takes the stage.
I understand you realize this fact and probably don't need a lecture. But using a troll alias on a musical forum is incredibly sophomoric. Where humor is involved rather than crying out for attention, it can and does work sometimes. I'm not going to pander to anyone by naming the better players on Inforoo, but I'm sure you recognize that there are some pretty decent pseudo-posters on this site who are both talented and amusing. Your entertainment value is comparatively low. You're also not going to draw me out except for this post. I gave that shit up a long, long time ago. Had I not, rest assured you'd find yourself back pouting in the sandbox licking your wounds and settling back to your spot on the undercard where only your knobslobbers and lackeys are there to help you pull back up your big-boy pants and dust you off - that is if you offered anything for anyone to work with.
For whatever reason, you figured you can get some traction and reaction by targeting me from time to time. You can certainly have at it though remember that others, including me, don't need to hide, snipe or target people trying to gain likes or self-amusement. I'm generally going to say what I think and be okay with disagreements with people over venues, music, life or whatever because I can. I don't need your (or anyone's) validation, and I certainly don't need to hide behind a trolling alias. Going forward, my general response to any of your chump posts toward me will be to either ignore them or just note that you're kind of a meat.

Fair enough. But the LMFAO acronym was the first 'word' in the post where I pasted the link. I thought the new ban was funny though I understand they probably don't want to be responsible for whatever consequences might have occurred without it (which I'm sure is a token ban anyway). I just don't like liquor rules and am not the mfer throwing cans, bottles, cups or cigarette butts on the ground ever. I always walk to the trash or recycle box to dispose of things I'm finished with. So I'm only going by me and how I act and what I prefer. Others can and certainly should feel free to enjoy the environments that suit them best.

I may just go for Saturday, as crazy as that may be. Can't miss Beyonce but I think it's too early to leave my little one for a long weekend and wouldn't feel comfortable bringing him to a festival at this age.
Also, beer gardens are great! So are the nice people that are hired to roam the polo fields and pick up after the litterbugs. You don't realize just how dirty other festivals are until you go to Coachella.
Skimmed some of this tonight (sober January paying off!). Around 1:20 in he does the laser harp stuff and then blows up a ton of fireworks and shit around 1:27. Assuming he gets a protected outdoor set, I can see this set being some really cool shit. And yes, I'm talking about the blow shit up part of the act, not the music.
