For me it's horrible. If you like that stuff, awesome. Damian Marley as a #1 act on a day of a festival like this is absurd, though.
That stuff? Aren't you the press? There isn't any specific "stuff" on the lineup. It's a smaller fest than the giants in Chicago and has a mix of rap, jam, rock, edm and some unique stuff that's emerging (such as The Russ Liquid Test and Tank and the Bangas). I understand that you don't think Jr. Gong is a headliner for a day. I kind of agree. But when you look at all else is there on Saturday, it's kind of hard to pick from 4 upper card acts as to who gets the "HL" on the poster. I personally don't like Carnage, but he's still pretty big and well known.
You know I like most of your shit. I just sometimes get annoyed by "that's horrible" or "that's dismal" without some backup. I've seen plenty of people on the card for Saturday and liked most of it (again excluding White Iverson and Carnage)

Close. It's pretty obvious that I prefer musicianship over catchy pop shit. That doesn't always sit well with people who like pop, and that's fine. My sister was blasting the Grease Soundtrack. We were shaking the walls to shut it down with Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. At the same time, someone like Kendrick who is about as popular as it gets, is still pretty real. So it's not 100%.
Having said that, for as small as this festival is, there are a lot of really good musicians that will be at this festival regardless of anyone's specific likes or dislikes.

It's all good. You are always an entertaining poster to read and helped fill in the blanks for Coachella. We agree on shit probably 70%. We don't have to agree on this one, but I think there are some pretty cool mid and smaller acts. For the future, I haven't seen Tank except when they were first starting out. The lead singer ran me over in a crowd and proceeded to chew me out until we made friends. I told her I'd see them next chance they played somewhere I was at and did. I don't really have an opinion on them but they will probably become a midcard act similar to what Revivalists kind of did.
