Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I actually read this (old) article about Live Nation and how they contract out stage hands that might give an idea of why they have the hard cutoff nowadays
Now obviously it's out-of-date (and I could find any more recent news) but it could be more related to their contracts with the stage crews (who don't want to be working this extra long late night shifts) than anything else
Even though outdated this KINDA makes sense when you think that it is probably why only Kaliope was going till sunrise, i'm sure they don't use Live Nation Stage crews.
Wow I was incredibly sad about Shpongle having to cancel, but I'm listening to Khruangbin for the first time ever and I am blown away to say the least, they've sky-rocketed into one of my most anticipated shows.
Kaiydo dropped out too. Bonnaroo tweeted that they "won't leave that late night Thursday slot empty", so of course Reddit thinks Pretty Lights will replace him.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Thundercat would be a perfect artist to fill that set time.

The other nice thing about the late night Umphrey's set beyond having something to see other than Marshmello, is now I can skip their utterly pointless one hour afternoon set on Sunday to see Hannibal Buress

I guess he realized he can't play an hour slot with a 6-song discography, haha. I wonder who they're gonna put there instead!

What do yall think of the Pineapple Party thing? Some of Reddit thinks it could entail a surprise Glass Animals set. The only thing that doesn't make me totally dismiss that is that Glass Animals has both Thursday & Friday listed when you Google "Glass Animals Events" and their Wednesday show is just 3 hours from Roo. Would be fun if true, I'm not totally sold though.

I don't think it's impossible but I don't wanna get my hopes up. I'd bet more on a DJ set than a full on performance.
If they did, it'd be cool if they either were there the entire time, or started later on so that I wouldn't have to miss anything major to get over there. Was planning on checking it out after Kevin Abstract.

The festival opens in less than a week, what do you expect them to do?
Anyway I think it's a great move and I'm really happy they've acknowledged (and addressed, albeit because of cancellations) the complaints about the lack of late night rock options. It's restored a small amount of faith in Bonnaroo for me.
I was in Austin all weekend driving a car with SXM, and Discover Orlando's was on Jam On a couple times a day. Just that reference to jamflowman made me hate it. Haha. Their bassist is pretty great if you haven't seen em yet.
These desicions have been pretty genius on Bonnaroo's part. They've literally not added any replacements but have still managed to make people happy. It's like they know what they're doing when Livenation doesn't interfere.

To be fair by replacing two hour-long sets with 90 minute ones they did add an hour of music to the schedule
But honestly yeah I'm so much more hyped for Roo than I was yesterday, first thing they've done right pretty much since the lineup drop

That's pretty funny to think about. We lost two artists but somehow gained more music

I'm hoping they hang out later too. I'm staying in centeroo through G Jones at a minimum and then I'll check reddit/twitter to see if they're actually there before leaving centeroo.
Even though I don't mind missing out on the lineup this year, starting to get sad I won't be at Roo. Two UM sets with one being LN would have got me excited if I was going.

I could see umph playing later than 3.
Also they just announced twiddle playing late night Thursday. I do like that they're listening to fans who wanted more rock/non dj/EDM stuff at night. Doesn't make me feel like going any more than I did but still cool to see
Does anyone know when they usually start scanning wristbands for comedy tickets in the morning?
Don't want to miss U Talkin' U2 To Me at 12pm but would also like to be able to swing by the craft beer exchange at 10:30am
Was curious about this as well. Was wondering what time to line up to definitely get in would be. And i'm not sure what it is going to be like with Comedy/Theater being together.

The Golden Eel and chicken4 in years past they have begun releasin' tickets/passes usually an hour before said desired show. But that doesn't stop massive lines from formin' before each "ticket release." I would try and talk to an attendant at the tent as soon as possible, though even they don't have the answers you seek.

I read somewhere on the website that this year it is the beginning of the day let me look

The last 2 years they moved to the new format. At 11am each day they will scan your wristband for ONE show that you would like to attend that day. Usually people begin lining up around 10:30am, however, remember the line is for all off the shows that day, not just one. So even if the line looks long, everyone could be getting tickets to different shows. Once you get scanned for the show you'd like you don't have to come back until 30min prior to the event and you can walk right in.
They also set up a stand by line for people that were unable to get scanned. These people are let in 5 mins before the performance to fill all of the open seats. If you'd like to get scanned for two shows in the same day, once you get scanned for the first show you can get back in line and be scanned for a second show.
