Does anyone know when they usually start scanning wristbands for comedy tickets in the morning?
Don't want to miss U Talkin' U2 To Me at 12pm but would also like to be able to swing by the craft beer exchange at 10:30am
The Golden Eel and chicken4 in years past they have begun releasin' tickets/passes usually an hour before said desired show. But that doesn't stop massive lines from formin' before each "ticket release." I would try and talk to an attendant at the tent as soon as possible, though even they don't have the answers you seek.
In recent years you just go up to the "ticket" table, tell them what show you want to see, they scan your wristband to give you a ticket, and then you return at the time of the show to get inline
Wondering when that table opens up in the morning g

The last 2 years they moved to the new format. At 11am each day they will scan your wristband for ONE show that you would like to attend that day. Usually people begin lining up around 10:30am, however, remember the line is for all off the shows that day, not just one. So even if the line looks long, everyone could be getting tickets to different shows. Once you get scanned for the show you'd like you don't have to come back until 30min prior to the event and you can walk right in.
They also set up a stand by line for people that were unable to get scanned. These people are let in 5 mins before the performance to fill all of the open seats. If you'd like to get scanned for two shows in the same day, once you get scanned for the first show you can get back in line and be scanned for a second show.
They allow you to scan for more than one show a day. Just can't be back-to-back. But yeah, this is the gist of it.

I'm guessing the U talking U2 2 Me podcast was cancelled either due to a schedule conflict or because they didn't think they would do a solid live show of the podcast. I believe this isn't a podcast that they've done live (I've listened to it all but couldn't remember 100%) so maybe they were struggling to come up with what to talk about.....even though the podcast is very little about U2 and mostly about bullshit.
This would have been one of the things I was really looking forward to attending if I was doing Roo this year so I'm sad to see it cancelled (but happy that I am not missing out).

They've done it live before... and honestly it was the weakest episode (but still funny)
They said in the podcast today it was because Scott is filming his new TV show

They would have had plenty to talk about. JT tour, JT Super Deluxe reissue came out today, maybe they would have had one of the lads on. They've done a live show before at a festival that had nothing to do with U2.
It is good that you no longer have to worry about an event taking place where a bunch of people have a good time and you're not there, though.
