I'm not sure they could have done much worse for me on Saturday. Direct Mike K/Future Islands and Chance/Warpaint conflicts.
Thursday: Welles -> Orwells -> Lemon Twigs -> Turkuaz -> Case Bloom Friday: Klangstof -> Khraunbin -> Kevin Morby/Barclay Crenshaw -> Car Seat Headrest -> DRAM -> Angelique Kidjo -> The XX -> Pres Hall -> U2 -> PTM -> Big Gigantic Saturday: Lucy Dacus -> Lukas Nelson -> Rainbow Kitten -> Throwback Alt Rock Party -> Michael Kiwanuka -> Chance the Rapper -> RHCP -> Sphongle Sunday: Tank and the Bangas -> Noname -> Margo Price -> Umphreys Mcgee -> Skepta -> end of Flatbush -> BBNG -> The Weeknd
At least you have full days. That's still weak as hell.
I mean, its as weak as the lineup is. I'm missing no more than 4 of the decent acts on the lineup due to conflicts imo.

1. What happened to Thursdays? Holy God. 2. I remember when people were saying the Other would go all night. Good times. So late nights for Roo only go 'til 3, two hours after Coachella ends on Friday and Saturday. Speaking off, all the options across the stages directly conflict, so that's lovely. 3. The stampede from Travis Scott to The Weeknd will be fun. 4. Yikes

Also...agreed with those talking about set length and boring/thinned out late nights. 1hr and 15 mins for Superjam? What ever happened to 2-3 hour sets?

For me:
Thursday: Kyle Kinane -> The Orwells -> Innanet James -> Natasha Leggero -> Kevin Abstract -> Kaiydo
Friday: U Talkin' U2 To Me? -> Klangstof -> Khruangbin -> Kevin Morby -> Car Seat Headrest -> DRAM -> (part of) James Vincent Mcmorrow -> Tove Lo -> Gallant -> early to U2 -> Portugal the Man -> Big Gigantic
Saturday: Big Jesus -> Lucy Dacus -> The Front Bottoms -> Tegan & Sara -> Future Islands/Michael Kiwanuka (this conflict sucks) -> Rez -> Chance the Rapper -> Cage the Elephant -> RHCP -> Flume/Shpongle/Superjam (toss up between the three)
Sunday: Cam -> White Reaper (missing Noname but I've seen her twice this year) -> Margo Price -> Hannibal Buress/Umphrey's (prob Hannibal because of the hour long UM set) -> Skepta -> Flatbush -> Lorde -> Travis Scott -> The Weeknd
Also...agreed with those talking about set length and boring/thinned out late nights. 1hr and 15 mins for Superjam? What ever happened to 2-3 hour sets?
Live Nation is all about maximizing profit while minimizing effort.
Really trying to make late night movies a feature I guess. What a fucking party. Stay up late, watch some movies, maybe mom will make us some brownies!
If I wanted to stay up late and watch movies, I'd save $1000 and just stay home.

You hit on almost all the points I was going to make. It's hilariously BAD.
I wouldn't even show up on Thursday if I was going to this shitshow.
And the combined cinema/comedy tent just makes it super apparent how tight their budget is now. Those had to be two of the cheapest things they had going, and now they've combined them.

So much bullshit in this thread. Either you were going to Bonnaroo or you weren't. If you were, this schedule crushes.
I get it. The lineup isn't great. Anyone see that ACL lineup earlier today? It's just as bad, maybe worse, and you won't see nearly as much going to ACL as you would going to Bonnaroo.
It only goes two hours later than Coachella? Ok. It goes two hours later than Coachella.
U2 only gets an hour and a half? Do you think they're going to tell U2 to fuck off at the ninety-minute mark and cut their PA or something? Especially with fifteen minutes of dead time on the schedule after their set? U2 plays as long as they want. And they're certainly not ending early or anything like the golden boys in Tame Impala.
And we're making fun of them for having a cinema tent now? Cool.
Hippo Campus--> Twiddle--> July Talk--> The Orwells--> Mondo Cozmo--> Lemon Twigs--> EDEN
FRIDAY:
Blossoms--> Cold War Kids--> Kaleo--> Remain In Light--> The XX--> Glass Animals--> U2--> Portugal. The Man--> Big Gigantic
SATURDAY:
The Front Bottoms--> Rainbow Kitten Surprise--> Throwback Alt-Rock Party--> Future Islands (hopefully rail)--> The Head & The Heart--> Chance The Rapper--> Cage Elephant--> Red Hot Chili Peppers--> Superjam (if it's legit)/Sphongle
SUNDAY:
Royal Blood--> Umphrey's McGee--> Skepta--> Flatbush Zombies--> Lorde--> BADBADNOTGOOD-> The Weeknd
That'll work just fine for me. Really hoping U2 blows past that hour 30 min time slot tho.

Glad to see Kaleo where they are. I saw them at about 2:00 in the afternoon last year at Shaky Knees, and they absolutely deserve to be where they are here. That's about the only good thing about this schedule.

I'm guessing they'll keep the Comedy Theater and just add a screen in there for movies. I have a feeling getting rid of the cinema has more to do with expanding the Other and not with a "tight budget". A stage similar to Perry's would take up a lot more real estate than the Other Tent did, they probably needed to make cuts somewhere to fit in.
So I'm sitting at LAX waiting for a flight (only 4 more hours due to a delay FML) and I thought I'd share my thoughts on my first Coachella while it's all still relatively fresh in my mind.

They own the (huge) site and everything but the What stage and anything with plumbing is able to be re-arranged. I honestly don't believe it's a space issue.
FI v MK. 2 top 5 acts for me. So I feel ya on this one. I can't decide and may not decide until day of. I may bank on FI playing Nashville in the fall and just go with MK. I may also just pit FI and pretend Getter is playing in Michael K's spot.

ACL lineup is definitely more up my alley, but still not the best.
The whole point of late night sets was that they would go all night long, past 3 a.m. This would result in memorable, marathon sets from at least one artist each year. Plus, you'd get the choice of seeing multiple late night sets. Now you pretty get one late night act playing their normal, abbreviated festival set unless you want to watch the closing Other Stage set. Bonnaroo's late nights were one of its best aspects, but they've neutered them to the point where they're basically a non-factor.
Definitely Future Islands. Tough call on the other, depends how hot it is.
Thanks for the help. Getting a little concerned that FI is just going to drop the same album over and over again until the end of time, while Mike K has dropped two completely different albums, the second of which I'd put up against singles.
Was also worried that What will result in a less rowdy crowd for White Reaper. It should be insanely easy to get in the pit/shade for that show. Were you saying that if both shows were shaded, you would take white reaper?
So much bullshit in this thread. Either you were going to Bonnaroo or you weren't. If you were, this schedule crushes.
when there aren't many good options, easy to have a conflict free schedule. otherwise, I dunno what "crushes" about this schedule.

bonnaroo isn't as bad as ACL guys! is a terrible rally cry.
It only goes two hours later than Coachella? Ok. It goes two hours later than Coachella.
Compared to years past when multiple shows were scheduled past 3am, with multiple sets through the years going until sunrise, having only one shizty act playing after 2 is a pretty big change from years past. For a brand that touts "party all night" bonnaroo isn't delivering.

April 2016:Pearl Jam are only given 2 hours? Pearl Jam are known to extend their sets, no way they stop at 2 hours. Bonnaroo isn't going to kick them off the stage, they'll let them play as long as they want! Remember when they played like 3 encores in 2008?
June 2016: Pearl Jam doesn't play more than 2 hours.
I'd def be at White Reaper but I could see myself hurting pretty bad Sunday so realistically I wanted to give myself some time to recoup at the RV. I don't see myself going in before Royal Blood.
