I think that's the Ticketweb MO. If it sold out, no sense in having a drop down to try to select tickets. Find it hard that THAT many people could enter a code, check out in that period of time but whatever.

I hope they give out real tickets at the show and not just names on a list for will call. I need my ticket stub but didn't want to spend $15 to UPS the ticket in two days.
I'm not sure about the Governors Ball code but the Vault one they claimed was unique for each user, was only sent out to people within a certain mile radius, and would only be good for one transaction.

Don't think they give actual tickets if you do will call. There was a UPS option and, believe you me, I thought about it since I prefer hard tickets for collection sake but didn't seem worth the additional price.

Yea, didn't want to drop the money just for the souvenir. Maybe someone at the show will have an extra stub. I do know I've gotten real tickets at some will call shows but not holding out much hope for this one.
It's looking like I'll have an extra for the Jack White show tomorrow in case anyone is interested. Face value (and fees). Would have to meet me at the venue since it's will call.

Jack White kicked so much ass last night. The new stuff works really well, live, in my opinion. Should be a fantastic set out on the Island in a couple of months.

Have not listened to it yet, but I’m seeing his new one get trashed. Tell me more about his show. Do you like the new album?

I do - more than a lot of people, at least in terms of the reaction I'm seeing online. I mean, folks aren't wrong that it's odd, and that he moves away from traditional song structure a lot of the time. Some of what's there feels a little like a sketch, or just an evocation of a vibe for a couple minutes rather than, you know, a collection of verses and choruses. And I'm not going to say I think it's 100% gold all the way through. But, overall, I really dig it. Musically, I found it funky as hell, and as someone who can fuck with an instrumental jam, I found plenty to like. I enjoy the singles - "Respect Commander," "Connected By Love," "Corporation," "Over and Over and Over" - most, but I'm also into "Ice Station Zebra," which I know has been pretty divisive. I dunno. I don't think it's his masterpeice, but I, for one, am glad that he experimented and put together some stuff that breaks his usual mold and/or is just plain weird. Weird is good.
That said, in the live setting, even the new stuff that's weird feels of a piece with the rest of the material. He opened with "Over and Over and Over," and it's just an absolute banger, live. "Connected By Love" also really shines. "Why Walk a Dog?" seemed like the one new tune during which the energy flagged, a bit - I mean, I like the song, but it felt like a dip. But he mixed it up and played plenty of material from his catalogue, including Dead Weather and Raconteurs tunes. He played 26 songs, and only 8, I believe, were from Boarding House Reach. Some of the bigger, better-known stuff was left out - no "Seven Nation Army," no "Steady As She Goes" - but, to be honest, I didn't miss it. He was in a great mood, it seemed, and his band is just tight as all get-out. Lots of extended jams and solo heroics, both from Jack and from one of his keyboardists, whose name I don't know but who was kind of on fire in a few moments.
So, yeah, it was a pretty great time and has me really looking forward to seeing him again outdoors at GovBall.
EDITED TO ADD: The no-cell phone thing was a trip. I missed getting the one commemorative photo and video I do at shows I attend, and not being able to check the time in the lead-up to the set was weird...but, I have to say, I did enjoy not looking at a bunch of elevated phone screens all night.

I saw Stereogum hated it but a lot of the other reviews were really positive. I liked the album and the show was great.
