The Weeknd, Vampire Weekend, Shitty popular EDM (Chainsmokers, etc.)
Also, calling it now, Hozier (remember him?) will be all over the festival circuit in 2018.
Will he have a new song?
Have to imagine there is something cooking. I'm a big fan of all those UK troubadours. Saw Hozier at Irving Plaza in late 2014 with a then-unknown James Bay opening (I know, I know).
Was thinking about putting JT on my mock but couldn't think who a #3 rapper might be. Forgot about J Cole.
I think most around here would like to forget about J Cole. Hes not going anywhere though. People love that guy.
I just legitimately forget he exists. I actually didn't mind his Roo set, which is the only real exposure to him I've had. He just doesn't seem to get the kind of attention from the white people music press that the other big hip-hop names do

I dont dislike his music nearly as much as other people around here. Watching his HBO specials actually gave me a new found appreciation for him. He isnt my favorite by far, but I enjoy some of his songs. As far as press attention goes; he does something thats a bigger deal than all that: he moves albums and tickets.

does he though? i wont deny how well 2014 FHD did but his most recent flopped critically and really went under the radar among the masses imo.

It actually did well critically and went platinum. Unless wikipedia is lying to me
The album received generally positive reviews from critics, some of whom called it Cole's best album to date. 4 Your Eyez Only debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, selling 363,000 copies in its first week (492,000 with additional album-equivalent units) earning Cole his fourth consecutive number-one album in the country. It had the third-largest weekly sales for an album in 2016. On January 12, 2017, 4 Your Eyez Only was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, and was certified platinum on April 7, 2017.
Remember Hozier? Remember all the people who listened to Hozier? Pretty sure they all just post here now. The Hozier Fireflies will inevitably transition into a beautiful Coachella butterfly. We must be patient.
edit: also, it's okay for you guys to not like J. Cole even though he makes money. I would go as far as to say he's less popular than all of the other recent makeshift hip-hop headliners.

theneedledrop gave it a 6 and pitchfork gave it a 6.7, which i dont think is quite the standard for "the only real hip hop artist left" as his stans would title him.
