That is somehow a strong lineup. I'm not that sad about The National, but it's good to see David Byrne will be active next year.
My National reasons are selfish as that would insure Mrs. GL goes. I like you guys but I like my wife more. If you don’t know her, she’s a million times better than me.

That's completely understandable.
Also, it's not like they're completely out. They can play on 23rd there and come play Big Ears on 25th. Or better, they can play Tennessee Theatre on 22nd, and then go to South America to play on Sunday of Lolla.

Yeah, I’m not totally sold on them being out .. yet. It’s gonna feel odd if we have a Big Ears without Bryce though.

Who do you think would be suitable for Big Ears as big & popular as The National? I can't think of anyone. And I don't wanna say Bon Iver, which would interestingly fit.

Vampire Weekend
That was one of my first thoughts as well, but mostly bc they were there the only year I've actually gone.

Yeah - this is HUGE! The last time I saw her perform was back in 1991 during the "Plague Mass" tour. It was one of the most frightening & exhilarating performances I've ever witnessed. With her, GY!BE, and Kid Koala on the line-up... I'm set.
