Sigur Ros Air Mogwai Slowdive Editors Minor Victories
I would love to see/feel Mogwai>Sigur Ros in the Tennessee Theater.
Since I didn't do bonnaroo this year, I have enough ACe points for a free ticket probably, and the kiddo will be nearly 1 by then so I think I'll be able to swing it.
Sucks flying into Knoxvegas costs an arm and a leg tho
Already started looking at prices for flight and lodging. What would be the cheapest option to stay in Knoxville? (and how expensive would it be?)
Do you want to be able to park your car at the hotel and walk to everything all weekend or are you willing to drive downtown every day?
I'm not planning to rent a car for this (I don't drive usually, and I'm not super confident about it). So, to be able to walk everywhere would be great.

Heads up for you guys thinking of using Street Team points. You may have to email them to make it work out. It hasn't been listed forever but I didn't have any problems in 14' trying to use them.
Downtown Knoxville can get pricey but way more worth it, imo. I'm actually gonna shoot for the Hilton again after the lineup drops.

Street team people have told me before that passes are always available. They just don't list them in the store because of low demand.
And people complain about the Bonnaroo attendance. They can't even be bothered to list these "free" tickets.
That's actually really good they do offer them though. I'm really hoping this festival sticks around for a bit.
I think they mean low demand versus Bonnaroo just in terms of street team tickets. I think sales for the festival in general have been good. Pair that with support from the city that Moog never got from Asheville.

Like GL said, downtown is going to be more expensive for hotels. If it matters to you, Knoxville does have the Uber. If you're flying in, make sure to factor in a decent taxi from the airport since the "Knoxville" airport is technically in the next town over. Also, as snowman said, Knoxville is stupid pricey to fly into.

When I checked Orbitz yesterday, I've seen a couple of round trip flights (NYC-Knoxville) around $200. But it's too early to buy flight tickets for this I guess. I like the fact that Uber is available there.

I mean seriously though, they went from having Nosaj Thing, Clark, Ben Frost, Kiasmos, and Rival Consoles to hardly ANY electronic music. Bring it back Big Ears!

I'm actually gonna be surprised if Jlin isn't on the lineup. With as much accolade as Black Origami has gotten, its kinda a no-brainer.
I'd never get my hopes up for Aphex, but he fits the festival. If they were to announce him, I'd fear where they were sticking him. I couldn't imagine the line of people trying to get into the Bijou for that set. He'd have to be in the Tennessee. I'd venture to say he'd be the top name, as well.
Planetarium seems like a no-brainer, given everyone's involvement with past years. That somehow hadn't occurred to me until popping in here, but now I'm super excited. I love the album (although the backlash is weird to me).
Colin Stetson's new band, Ex Eye, seems like a distinct possibility too. Agreed with others on Jlin. She would be perfect for The Standard. What's the probability of Gas showing up? Narkopop is one of my favorite albums of the year.
I'd like to see Ian William Craig on there. Centres from last year was really good, and he just put out an "acoustic" companion that I think would work really well in a live setting.

Seconded. I was actually kinda shocked he wasn't on there this time. He was a highlight when I saw him at Hopscotch and would definitely see him again.
