Now is as a good a time as any to post my ATL recommendations map. I've updated it recently to include some new stuff around town. All listing should be annotated so you know what you're looking at.
You can save this map as a layer in your Google Maps so that as you move about town you can see what's close by.
I probably shouldn't have quoted ha, I just meant in general, but those both looked like good options from the list.
Like is Atlanta too far from the coast for good seafood?
It's way too far to be considered a coastal town but there is plenty of good seafood here. The oysters at Kimball House are world class. And Bon Ton is another good option super close to the fest.

Didn't even know you could save it as a layer. If all goes as planned, I'm going to stop-in Torched Hop Brewing before going into the fest on Friday.
Yea if you save the map to Your Places you can toggle it on and off as needed.
You absolutely should go to Torched Hop before the fest. That's my friend's place but even if I didn't know them I'd say they have some of the best beers in the city. Definitely a good spot to get a tasting flight. Plus it's like half a mile from the main entrance.

UPDATE ON JAPANDROIDS/FLEET FOXES CONFLICT:
On record store day a buddy of mine scored two free tickets to Fleet Foxes here in Houston the Monday after Shaky, so I'll be hurrying back to make it for that. Still kinda want to do the Japandroids LN, but that conflict is gravy for me now.

Sure thing! If you or anyone else have any issues with it shoot me a PM. I can walk you through how to put it on your phone or add you as a viewer in case you're having access problems.

Is there a staple Georgia food that I need to try? What's Georgia do best, I'd assume BBQ or soul food just because South.
Fox Bros is the move at the fest. They are always a booth instead of a truck so it goes faster. Bento is probably my favorite truck if you want to mix it up. Them or The Pickle. King of Pops is a titan of Atlanta food so make sure to get one (or more) of those.
If you're asking just generally... the signature Atlanta food is Coke. And Waffle House. And Georgia is the peach state but I don't think those are quite in season yet. The Varsity always gets advertised as the city's signature food but it's skippable. If you insist on going though get two chili dogs, onion rings, and an orange freeze.
From a personal standpoint... the dishes you gotta hit while here are the Comfy Chicken Biscuit at Homegrown, the Ghetto Burger at Ms. Ann's Snack Bar, the Farm Egg from Miller Union (if you want fancy) and a croissant or other baked good from Little Tart Bake Shop. Hit up Busy Bee Cafe if you want meat + three style food. Manuel's is probably the city's classic bar. It's right near The Clermont too so that's nice
Sweetwater is the signature beer of the city but the BEST beers come from Creature Comforts. Or Monday Night Brewing. Or Red Brick. Or Variant.
Late night your best bet is Bon Ton or Octopus Bar. There's a pretty good looking Vietnamese pop up in Cabbagetown right now too.
I love eating and drinking and i've done a ton of it since i moved to Atlanta 15 years ago. All of this is great information that i agree with 100% I'll just throw in a little love for the Roti Rolls truck at the festival. I have to get at least one Thurman Murman a year. Also, a little love for Orpheus if you like Sours or Saison style beers.
Just a heads up on Saturday it looks like the Night Game Cancelled. (i assume they cancelled they are not on the schedule anymore) So they moved Teenage Wrist into the same time slot as Torres and now Stop Light Observations and Broncho are playing at the 3pm time slot.
Not liking their new IG post. "Plan for time to get through TSA-style security." In past years it was just a quick glance in our bags, took two seconds.

yep.. on their website:

Nice. I thought I was going crazy and didn't remember SLO being at the time they were.

This is pretty good. There's also an awesome mexican place El Myr right next to Variety Playhouse for those trying to get their cinco de mayo fix before fleet foxes on saturday night. If you don't do smoking, there's another one to the right of it, albeit a little nicer and a bit pricier but still alright.
Also: everyone should note that there is a publix (grocery store) and a walgreens a block west of the festival on North Ave if you need anything.

As Bob Dylan once said, things are-a-different now.
