Shaky Knees 2018 - A Thing That Happened

Solid lineup this year. Headliners don't do a whole lot for me personally but the undercard is killer.

Definitely the best headliners of any American fest so far this year.

Looks like we'll have 3 strong days too. FJM will be in Ohio a week before for the National's festival so he could be a 2nd line addition like Ryan Adams was this year. I'm thinking

If I lived closer, I’d be at this fest in a heartbeat!

I’m surprised by the lack of Foster the People on any of these lineups so far. I figured they’d be everywhere this year.

They didn't do adds last year did they?

They added Ryan Adams and Saint Motel in late January. They also added Rainbow Kitten Surprise when Modern Baseball cancelled

Oh that's right. Well cool, hopefully there's a pretty big addition then. Yeah MGMT would be cool, or Incubus.

National and Jack White great heads and personally relieved it’s not Muse.


I think it’s a strong top 3 although I’d loveto see David Byrne or Fleet Foxes switch with QOTSA and a solid undercard.
A base of Fleet Foxes/David Byrne/War on Drugs/Japandroids/Franz Ferdinand/Black Angels/Black Rebel/Bryan Jonestown Mass/Parquet Courts/Alvvays/Waxahatchee/Bully/Courtney Barnett is pretty good. Hope the schedule is balanced well; just me but last Saturday at SK other than the XX headlining was pretty soft whereas Friday and Sunday were much stronger top to bottom.

I may have finals that Friday so just hoping at least Jack White doesn't play that day.
