I'd imagine he can still do non-LN festivals, but the only ones I can really see him doing are Coachella, random radio-related fests, and stuff overseas.
The Festive Owl says they have info on Okeechobee coming up soon, which has me cautiously optimistic. I don't think they'd post something like that if the information wasn't coming for another week or two?
Idk man I'm fiending. I just want Florida to be able to have nice things.

I mean it could be next Tuesday as well, but you’d think if they took the time to promote a street team, do a week of choosing candidates and sending acceptance letters and then giving them a week to sign up for the points system platform. That they would want to make sure their entire investment was promoting their lineup drop.
Are they scrambling to replace people who fell through?
The silence from them is pretty deafening.
I have a feeling Brand New was supposed to be billed very high on a lot of line ups this summer and after the allegations came out against the singer, promoters shredded the contracts as fast as they could. If not for Okeechobee than definitely other fests.

such shitty news to hear he did that. That band was such a big part of my youth and 2018 was supposed to be the big goodbye. Looks like it's going to be more of a quick fizzle out.

Brand New is my girlfriend's favorite band. We saw them in Dallas and their show was pretty awesome. We were looking forward to following them around for a couple of shows, and we were hopeful for OMF, but it looks like they're done. Possibly forever. Real bummer.

The wooks wouldn't have showed to see Brand New. I really don't think this festival is going to start booking emo bands.

I mean, Hangout booked Manchester Orchestra and put them on a day where The Chainsmokers are headlining. Anything is possible in this crazy world.
No what's crazy is that they booked Pussy Riot. There has to be a booking agent out there who only did that because they thought it'd be funny. But at least Hangout has booked artists like Frank Turner and Diarrhea Planet in the past. Okeechobee seems pretty firm with sticking to jam, EDM, and vanilla "indie" acts like Cold War Kids.

So what you're saying is, let's prepare ourselves for 4 nights of The 1975.

Prepare yourselves for The 1975 and at least three other bands that sound exactly like The 1975.
Haha. I love Florida - home away from home. We have lots of crazy people though for whatever reason. cmack hit me up and said him and ne are looking at Okee as an alternative to Hangout. Hopefully they will get the lineup or at least part of it out soon.

I know that the Hangout lineup is objectively trash, but if Okee's lineup is comparable to that it'll be worth the trip to me. 1.5 headliners worth seeing and about 15+ acts I would enjoy would be worth it just because it's so close to me and I love the venue so much.

if my wife would let me i'd be so down for okee this year since hOF wont be in the cards, too close to due date. even though they have managed to book my perfect lineup.

It should be better by a good ways even if they have shit on it. They do a much better job with electronic acts than Hangout has done after 2015. Rap as well (obviously beyond the greatness Kendrick brings to Hangout). I wouldn’t fret. Their bar is higher.

cmon man they never had Marshmello! could this be the year> replace bassheads with mellogang.

I can see Marshmello playing or even closing Ultra this year, so Okee is probably safe.
Deadmau5 seems even more likely now. He's playing EDC Mexico, so I'm guessing he's on an EDC contract for the year, so no Ultra. Makes him available to headline Okee.
