Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I want to go to this so badly. I gotta find a way.
What's the holdup?!
My girlfriend doesn't care for the lineup so I'd be going solo, which would increase my expenses, and my budget's already tight. I'm currently saving for a security deposit to move to Philly at the beginning of July.
The just-released Sasquatch lineup will finally silence anyone who doubts that acts can and do play festivals on opposite ends of the country during the same weekend. I counted ten acts doing both fests. What's surprising is that Sasquatch is down to three days -- the same three days as Boston Calling -- so a few of the acts may end up doing back to back days with a transcontinental flight in between.
I suspect that Sasquatch attendees will be breaking down the Boston Calling daily lineup to get insight into the Sasquatch daily lineup.
FWIW, Sasquatch is the first lineup I've seen which I prefer to Boston Calling this year. It swaps out the blustery guys from Detroit and the California desert for TV On The Radio, Margo Price, Grizzly Bear, David Byrne, and Bon Iver, which is a definite upgrade IMHO, while still offering all of the most interesting acts from Boston Calling's Friday lineup.

Agreed that it's the stronger of the two. Also the better location.
It was 3 days last year too though, fwiw
The National will be going from Boston to Washington to London, which seems like some funny routing

A lot of these bands are doing All Points East and Primavera as well, so it'll be a busy week for a lot of them. I'm going to try for Saturday for this, before hopping a flight.
So, it looks like one wished-for Boston Calling headliner is coming to town very soon after the festival. Depeche Mode is playing TD Garden on June 9 (I came so close to picking up a Bonnie Prince Billy @ The Wilbur ticket for the same night. Glad I didn't.)

General public onsale on Fri 2/16 @ 11 am.
Depeche Mode has an exclusive worldwide deal with Live Nation, so Boston Calling was never an option.
But I'm happy for you that they are playing in an accessible location. I'm considering attending that show as well.

Good replacement, too. Hope he doesn't conflict with someone I want to see
Probably will, there's a lot of good stuff that day
I'm curious to see how the arena is scheduled this year. Podcasts and Natalie Portman's thing will force them to stretch things out. They commented that they'd be "sharing details in the coming weeks" regarding Portman
He's got Boston ties. He went to BU, where he roomed with a guy who would become the long-time tour manager for Guided By Voices. Like so many others, Cross passed through the Boston comedy scene before moving on to bigger and better things. One time, I did an open mic he hosted at the long-defunct Catch A Rising Star in Harvard Square. He also had a sketch troupe called Cross Comedy around that time (early 90's).
Westside Gunn & Conway switched days with Weakened Friends
Right after Boston Calling tweeted that info, Weakened Friends replied with a "Hey, thanks for telling us" tweet. Apparently, someone at Crash Line forgot to notify them before the public announcement. WF then deleted the tweet fairly quickly.
I'm just surprised that they weren't booked on the same day as Charly Bliss, since WF -> CB would be a perfect segue.
