One thing I was pretty mad about at Merriweather is that they've eliminated pretty much all craft beers. It is all mass produced beers at all beverage stands now, even at the designated "craft" beer tent on the west end by the barn. I couldn't find any Maryland beers, which is a shame since there are a lot of good ones and Merriweather has usually supported (and benefited from) local businesses.

I saw 2 bars that have local beers. One of them is up by the lot 1 entrance and the other was in the back behind the lawn. I was drinking Raging Bitch all night and I remember seeing at least one Jailbreak beer and a few from Key Brewing. I agree there should be way more but there are a few options at least.

I didn't go behind the lawn on Monday. I'll have to check that out next time I'm there, it sounds like it's exactly what I'm looking for.
I wish, but I think you're right that they're too big for this. Based on their schedule it's feasible so who knows. It's still mind numbing to me that they have a 50+ date tour and don't have a DC/Baltimore area show.

VW would be the biggest act to ever play, right? Just spot checking, on her tour last year Maggie Rogers played the Fillmore (1,300 capacity) in SF and headlined ATG. Vampire Weekend are playing Bill Graham (8,500)
If it's female heavy again, I would guess King Princess, Weyes Blood, Sigrid, Sky Ferreira, Lily & Madeleine, and Freya Ridings. Others that could fit: Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Hippo Campus, Grouplove.

I mean they could be waiting till after Firefly to announce, but that would leave them about 2 months to sell tickets. I don’t think they would have a problem selling though.

I could see a lot of these being on there. I've been looking at festivals to see who could be options. If I'm not mistaken, there really isn't much crossover with ACL. The only exception was last year with BORNS.
