Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If it's female heavy again, I would guess King Princess, Weyes Blood, Sigrid, Sky Ferreira, Lily & Madeleine, and Freya Ridings. Others that could fit: Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Hippo Campus, Grouplove.
I could see a lot of these being on there. I've been looking at festivals to see who could be options. If I'm not mistaken, there really isn't much crossover with ACL. The only exception was last year with BORNS.
I didn't notice King Princess at ACL (not on her website) so that probably rules her out. Weyes Blood is at ACL weekend 1 only, so she would be available.

Melanie Martinez was accused of raping a woman and she's headlining?
"This fall’s festival will also feature a special partnership with She Is The Music, a global nonprofit dedicated to increasing the number of women working in music and transforming the gender landscape of the industry. The two entities share the common commitment to equality, inclusivity and opportunity for women creators."
Bummer indeed. Really starving for a good fest around here.
Does DC really need another (regional) fest though? The city already has great venues and bookings throughout the year, and a festival would just cannibalize such separate shows.

Uhhh....am I missing something here?
thing is Melanie Martinez's fans are so awful, they defend her every which way whenever someone brings it up. it's already started on the twitter thread for this lineup, people pointing it out and then her rabid fans saying "uh INNOCENT QUEEN" and "NEVER PROVEN" and shitz like that

So they are trying to move tickets by basically offering 2 for 1?
This is fucking bull shit. If they're trying to market the skybox as "premium lawn" then sell it that way. I paid $55/ticket (without fees) for Lord Huron tickets months ago, and now they are basically being given as free add ons to the Isbell/Misty and GCJ/Rateliff shows? Fuck that.
I've been going to Merriweather for most of my life, but this is going downhill quick.
Man, who would have thought signing MPP over to Live Nation would go poorly?
Is that what happened? I knew that it transitioned from Howard Hughes Corp. to Symphony Woods and Downtown Columbia Arts & Culture the past year. But that seemed to indicate transitioning from a mid-size local company over to a smaller local company. Nothing about that transition indicated that larger corporations would be taking over. If that's the case, then the public was misled.

I was mostly goofin to be honest, they’re doing LN shows now but as far as I know LN isn’t in charge

It's only a temporary offer, and this is frankly no different from when other products suddenly go on sale.

some of these are live nation tours but these are def the typical Merriweather shows outside of maybe the Pumpkins. I know some folks dont like it when their tickets get "devalued" but I think its largely cool that MPP is doing this, its a pretty good deal. If I wasnt attending Father John Misty with InWeGo I would have considered this deal.
