We clear the club after the first show like you stated and yeah unless you sweet talk the door guy you’d have to buy the second show too.
Missed this but yeah, as mentioned above they cleared it. we came back after the Holy Ghost show (& after a couple tacos/drinks at ElRey) for the 70s dance party and still had a great time. I think it was actually technically sold out but they were cool and let us buy tickets when we asked about it on our way out.
How was Holy Ghost? Been a group that Ive been trying to see for awhile.

They were great. Played mostly older songs that everyone knew with a few ones from the new album. Our first time seeing them other than at a festival.

Could Merriweather even host three stages potentially? There will definitely be names dropping off due to capacity issues. My guess is that any act already scheduled to play the DMV on a different date won't appear (e.g., Cage the Elephant, The Raconteurs).
Also, Smashing Pumpkins/Noel Gallagher is already booked at Merriweather during that weekend, so not sure what would happen there.

Yes. The parking area would be turned into the B stage and the Crystallis stage would be the C stage

Mhmm, they've also taken over the wooded grounds between the mall road and the back of the pavillion lawn in the past to do a wooded area stage, like the American Eagle stage at Lollapalooza. I've seen it used for smaller acts at Rock the Bells, and EDM acts at Freefest. So that could account for up to 4 different performance areas.
Also, if the line-up can justify the price, I'll definitely go. Been wanting a real festival back in this market ever since the Landmark experiment fizzled out.
Interesting tidbit from a guy on reddit who says he is with IMP: "Depends on how Woodstock goes. Festivals have been apprehensive in coming to Merriweather due to issues surrounding former festivals. If Woodstock goes off with out a hitch, we’ll reopen our doors to festivals"
They use to run Virgin Free fest and Sweetlife and Warped tour( has like 6stages) they could easily do it at Merriweather. Seth got called by Elliot this morning and said everything is ready to go on MPP side of things. I really hope this pulls through
