"For four nights the week of October 28, NPR is opening its intimate, genre-bending Tiny Desk concerts to the public for the first time. The artists will be a surprise, but let’s just say we mean it when we say we’re going big. Each evening of Tiny Desk Fest will begin at 6 p.m. with a happy hour at NPR’s Washington, D.C. headquarters. Guests will then watch a Tiny Desk concert recorded live at the iconic desk itself, enjoy more happy hour time, and take in an intimate conversation between that evening’s artist and one of NPR Music’s reporters."
Tickets on sale Thursday at noon. 50$ (before taxes & fees), $80 for VIP tickets (extra swag, early entry). 21+, you can only choose one night. The shows will also be live streamed online.
The artists are a surprise but they posted genres and a word cloud for each day: 10/28: Hip-Hop (fiery, trill, boisterous, rapid-fire, bangers, infectious, M.C., brazen) 10/29: Pop-Rock (expressive, sunny, acoustic, outspoken, classic, genre-spanning, guitar, cathartic, humanitarian) 10/30: Indie-Pop (dreamy, hypno-groove, colorful, rising, romantic, sentimental, LatinX, euphoric) 10/31: R&B (graceful, groove, introspective, emotive, keys, stylish, guitar, neo-soul)

Anybody want to do any guesses for who is playing?

The Pop-Rock word cloud definitely makes the mind wander. I will throw out a few big names: Paul Simon and Bruce fit acoustic, outspoken, classic, etc. I could see U2 and Coldplay for the humanitarian, though I'm not sure Coldplay would be considered classic.
Not sure where to begin with the other genres. Curious about R&B too, specifically with the neo-soul descriptor, maybe Erykah Badu?
