Anybody ever visit John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, and is it a good venue? I'm now considering that as an alternative or an addition to Baltimore in terms of seeing Tool in April.
I saw Twenty One Pilots there last summer it’s way better than the Chicken Box. Sound was pretty good and the arena is fairly new. You can only buy 2 drinks per hour 4 drinks the entire night. Or something like that because it’s on a college campus. The drive sucks but other than that I’d go to another show.

Thanks! Just noticed there's an Amtrak that departs from Union Station to Charlottesville. I come back from abroad a few days before so I'm a bit hesitant to go due to lingering jetlag, but it sounds like it'll be a sick show there.
Any seats/sections at that venue that should be avoided at all costs?
I hate Royal Farms arena, but it's the closest place (to me) for a show like this besides M&T Bank stadium. I'm probably just going to pay the $$ for the floor. Royal Farms arena is kind of a shithole. It gives you that vibe of a monster truck show venue (which it is).
I like Royal Farms, not really a horrible seat in the house IMO

Wow, Glass Animals was fun. Dave confirmed that they’ll make their Anthem debut soon.
Im seeing them on Friday in Boston, just so I can get a heads up, was it like a full set 16/18 songs or like a 13 song thing? I know they played like 13 songs when they did smaller shows towards the end of last year but I am hoping that they do a fuller set on this actual tour thing. I don't want any setlist spoilers but it would be good to know lmao

I believe they did about 14 songs, and there was merch.

Looking through the Merriweather show listings they appear to be taking some extreme steps in the direction that concert pricing has been going for a while now: low prices for the bad seats (lawn in this example) and extremely extremely high prices for the good seats. Pet Shop Boys/ New Order is 30 bucks for lawn and 175+ for anything in the 200 level, Black Keys is essentially the same, Rod Stewart is also essentially the same.
Pretty unfortunate if you ask me, at the point where I’d rather have shows booked at Jiffy Lube Live as hard as that is to believe.

Do we think this will for sure be 4th of July weekend? Seems like it would be a bit chaotic if it was on the mall like Landmark Fest with all of the fireworks crowds as well. Is RFK even an option anymore? Maybe FedEx?

Foos have been using fireworks emojis, so it’s probably happening on that weekend. I’m wondering if this is a 2-day event.

Aren't these just the Live Nation tours booked at Merriweather though?
