I've never been a fan, people say he sucks live, and Revival seems to be a pretty big bomb. At least with the Weeknd I had heard enough good things to give him a chance (and I was glad I did because he was awesome). The general consensus seems to be that Eminem blows.
I just don't understand why they chose to steer Firefly away from predominantly being alt-rock. It's where they've had their biggest success.
Not to mention I don't think I would want to go to a festival with anyone I know who is a fan of Eminem. I can only imagine the vibes (which were already dampened last year) are only going to get worse.
I thought Roo was getting Fleetwood Mac? Did that never come to fruition?
Don't know but Bonnaroo and Firefly shared The Weeknd and Chance last year so it's not impossible for them to show up on both.
I can't imagine Firefly and Roo would share two names as big as Eminem and Fleetwood Mac. They would unquestionably be #1 and #2 for these festivals I would have to think. Chance was generally the #4 or #5 headliner for most festivals last year (including Roo and Firefly), and the Weeknd was the #3 headliner for Roo.

oh relax. i doubt he would be drawing the stans as most of that demo doesnt care for him anymore. it would be more of the newer younger fans.
Stevie Wonder - Eminem - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Lorde - Arctic Monkeys Skrillex - Pretty Lights - MGMT - The Lumineers - Khalid - Fleet Foxes - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Lil Uzi Vert - Portugal. The Man - Steve Aoki - Walk The Moon - Milky Chance Vince Staples - Brockhampton - Umphrey's McGee - Big Gigantic - Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness The Gaslight Anthem - Jimmy Eat World - Majid Jordan - George Clinton & The Parliament Funkadelic Cheat Codes - Sylvan Esso - Awolnation - BORNS - Sleigh Bells - Thundercat - Timeflies New Politics - Action Bronson - The Knocks - Blackbear - The White Panda
lmao, you've seen last years lineup right?
You've seen my more recent post not more than 4 posts above yours right?
Also when bored at work, one tends to just keep adding people to a mock, thus the first being a reach. And in all honesty, the second one too.

It would be hilarious if FF got Fleetwood and Roo didn't.

Since people are posting guesses I'll give it a shot
Eminem - New album sucks but he was probably sought after by many fests before it was released as he hasn't played U.S. festivals in a while and he has a huge catalog, Em will likely be all over the place this summer.
Jack White Or Red Hot Chili Peppers - It has definitely been long enough (7 years) for Jack White to come back to the woodlands, but only if he has the album done in time and is ready to tour or at the least play some festivals. Red Hot Chili Peppers last played in 2013 and have a new album to perform so I think they're a possibility and although they get a lot of hate online the general music festival go'er is usually stoked to see them on a lineup. They know they have to fill the indie rock void and RHCP are headlining fests this summer, also probably less likely to bring back Arctic Monkeys considering they already played twice, even with a new album on the way it would just seem odd.
Chainsmokers Bassnectar or Calvin Harris - EDM is massive and lets face it Slim will be pretty costly, so I see our EDM act being number 3 this year. I think Chainsmokers are likely because FF loves bringing back artists who've reached huge success after being an undercard like Chance the Rapper and 21 Pilots, Chainsmokers last played in 2015 and were listed 22nd.
Lorde Halsey or Lana Del Ray - Neither Lana Del Ray or Lorde have played FF which is honestly pretty surprising considering the fest has been around for 6 years, and Halsey also seems to be hitting festivals as a sub headliner this year, in 2015 she was listed on the 15th line.
Or I can get my hopes up and go
Kendrick Lamar//Depeche Mode//Nine Inch Nails//Justice

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
I just heard these guys for the first time. It's one of the guys from Modern Baseball's new band. They just released an album so maybe we'll get lucky. I feel like they fit the vibes of the woodlands very well.
Eminem - The Cure - Imagine Dragons - Chainsmokers
Take out The Cure and I see this realistic.
The Cure may not be there, but Firefly would never survive Eminem - Imagine Dragons - Chainsmokers. The backlash on that would be unreal. It’s going to be bad enough as it is with Eminem and The Chainsmokers on the top line.

Have The Chainsmokers been confirmed?
Not exactly, but the pieces of the puzzle strongly point to it.
Eminem confirmed Hangout connection (5/6 years at least one headliner has played both) Firefly wouldn’t book both Eminem and Kendrick Firefly probably wouldn’t book Killers for a third time That leaves The Chainsmokers
I would just get used to the idea that The Chainsmokers are Firefly’s 3rd/4th headliner.

please please for the sake of Firefly's future.
Seriously. This headliner line has gotten pitiful lately. Tbh, I still can't see Chainsmokers for some reason. I see them not sharing with Hangout
Man, imagine if Firefly could avoid the Chainsmokers all together this year, that would be awesome. I'm convinced though that they are going to be on the lineup, hopefully 4th. Firefly has still yet to have an edm act in the top 3 so that gives me a bit of hope.

I would think they'd be 4th. You'd have to have a huge name at #2 (IE not Imagine Dragons) to convince the Firefly faithful that The Chainsmokers are ok at #3.
I'm sticking with:
Eminem - Green Day - The Strokes - Chainsmokers
Fri- Eminem Sat- The Strokes and Chainsmokers Sun- Green Day
I think that'd set up well to have a stronger undercard like 2016.
Eminem- The Strokes- The Chainsmokers Future- Bon Iver- The XX- Odesza Khalid- Lil Uzi Vert- The War On Drugs- Portugal The Man Sza- Foster the People- St Vincent- Anderson Paak
I dont think this will happen but you can book a great fest even with The Chainsmokers at 3

With this sweet lineup I don't think you'd even have to deal with the backlash of Chainsmokers at 3:
Eminem • The Strokes • The XX • The Chainsmokers • Bon Iver
Friday: Bon Iver > The Strokes Saturday: The xx > the Chainsmokers Sunday: Eminem
I'd sign up for this in a second. Sadly it feels a bit to curated and, you know, "good", for Firefly.
