no dog in this fight but keepers are fun, makes the draft a little more important year to year, and helps separate who know's what they're doing since some people make terrible keeper choices.
In the keeper league I'm in, we have four keepers in football. You draft those keepers one round before the one you picked it the year before, or round 9 if it was a free agent pickup during that season.

I need a yay or nay on doing keepers or not. You get to pick one player off the team you had last year (@jackwagon you would be inheriting your team). We pick the keepers before the draft. I'm going to look into whether you can elect to not pick a keeper if there's not one on your team that you want. I need to know by tomorrow if we're doing this or not.
Also it looks like I need to manually put in the keepers for everyone. So go ahead and give me your keepers just in case.

you should be able to not select a keeper and then you'd make your first pick during everyones "keeper" round. (im prettty sure that's how it worked when i did it)

Thanks. That's what some people were wondering. So I see no reason not to do it. You don't have to pick a keeper if you don't want to.

you also have to keep in mind that some teams might have 2-3 players better than any you have, so it's not as easy as "who's on my team" you can get some really great players that other's can't afford to keep.
In other news I autodrafted a team last night off of my own pre draft rankings and might have drafted the best team I've ever drafted. A+ grade Rodgers, Beckham, Gronk, J. Landry, D. Jackson, E. Lacy, P. Perkins, J. Matthews, and KC defense.
So I think I'd need clearer details. If you choose not to keep then essentially you would be selecting from all players not kept. Players kept would constitute that owner's 1st round pick. Inferring from that logic you would really only want to keep a player if they were 1st round quality. Is this how it will work? So I think then that we need to have the people who do not keep have a pre-draft round so that everyone is evened up when the draft starts and everyone has one player on their team when it does. Or am I missing something?
