the thread of the festival that takes place close to where i live, have been attending the last two years, and will most likely be attending next week.... you ever been to this festival? why are you in this thread?

I think this fest would've done better if it took The Meadows dates, instead. Kind of silly they wanted another summer city fest barely two months after Gov Ball, who clearly has their grip on the majority of fest-goers in the area for the season
I don’t doubt that you do. But your delivery can be very off putting.
You want this festival to fail. We get it. But others want it to succeed. Can’t you leave it alone?
I am breaking the news to you guys that unless something changes, it already failed, and whatever remains of it will be in Delaware next year. Is that not that worth discussing?

Originally they wanted it two weeks after Gov Ball. The whole point of the festival was to put Gov Ball out of business. Blew up in their face big time.

Who knows, maybe theyll start calling the mainstage that. The Point carrying over and taking the place of the treehouse stage; would be an upgrade for Firefly too.

Wow. AEG going this all out for Firefly/whatever its called is extremely exciting. Really could be Coachella east

I am all for it. Firefly has been in dire need of an upgrade for years. Really curious how it comes out and hoping they ease out of mostly booking 90s throwbacks and the alt nation top 10.
I will say the one thing that Launchpad has always thought is that the booking will get better for Gov Ball if Panorama ceases to exist. Sure hope that Founders comes through, I personally have my doubts

So we're a week out and tickets haven't really dipped on the secondary market. Plus I know ALOT of people who are going to this. Maybe sales aren't too terrible this year.

If this fest is truly done, Founders will have almost no excuse. If my memory serves, they stated their big misses due to Pano were Frank and Arcade Fire

That’s what I’ve been saying. I remember the market tanked well in advance the last two years.
