The Friday night with The Weeknd and Migos is doing well. The other two days will be empty... Although having a venue half the size of previous years should make it feel more crowded I guess.

Surprised about Sunday not doing better. I could see people into that day not buying as interested in a weekend pass, but I figured day passes would be doing a decent business.

Unless Launchpad has inside info it seems like Sunday is selling well. I’ve been looking for a single on Sunday for a friend and I’ve seen nothing below face
Who's going to dance with me at The Point all weekend?
Can’t make it this year but I’m looking forward to your review of the Point experience. If it’s a cool spot to see those artists, it would make future years’ attendance for me much more likely.

I'm nervous some sets will be underattended, but fingers crossed.
I think the reason the secondary market has held at face value this year is because scalpers and brokers who bet on this fest the last year 2 years decided not to take a loss again this year.
There were never more than 175 passes on Stubhub this year, most fests had like 700-1000 and Coachella and EDC each had like 2500 tickets on sale at a time.
A lot of people that are selling are just trying to get their money back and have been reluctant to drop price. I bet they'll drop lower, single days are under face value for Sat.
Launchpad is certainly a bit of a dick. I guess the boot licking has gone to his head a bit. But he consistently provides a lot of good information. I’m happy Panorama is gone. A festival initially designed for 20 somethings has no business in New York in probably the worst month of the year, when the nouveau riche are all in the hamptons. Hopefully gov ball is able to pick up some of the more mature acts Panorama tied up (probably not).
Uhh, the nouveau rich being away for a festival is a good thing.
I don't think it's the rich, I just don't think it makes sense for large scale music festivals to try to mainly cater to anyone 27+. People start experiencing more life responsibilities around that age and the idea of standing in a hot field for 3 days in their rare down time likely isn't at the top of the list.

Yeah for sure. The attitude. But with that trade off comes teens, migos, and The Weeknd.
But "nouveau rich" implies to me not just shitty attitudes, but also a tackiness that implies superficial tastes to which you could arguably include acts such as Migos.

I agree that the current festival model is not very appealing to twenty-somethings with tastes for prior Panorama acts such as Sufjan, LCD SS, Justice, and NIN. If Panorama dies then so be it; as long as we get solid separate shows in quality venues with good crowds in return.

Pretty sure that’s around the average age of festival attendees.
Welp, no longer in for this. Sorry folks; have lots of fun!
Let me know if you hit any BK Mirage shows soon; def my new favorite venue and they book a lot of techno and house. Not sure if its your thing, but pretty stoked for Green Velvet there.
Was debating going Friday and Sunday but now only doing Sunday. Father John Misty and The War On Drugs would be cool but don't feel like having to deal with the crowds of uninterested Migos/Weeknd fans during their sets. Plus a 50 min set time is short for both those acts, don't see why they can't at least get an hour.

FJM is on the second stage and TWOD is pretty early in the day for what its worth
