Kind of funny that in the 3 years of this fest, 8 days they go for mature programming. The 9th day they target the youngsters with Weeknd and Migos, and that’s the day that gets rained out and now all those youngins are flipping about refunds.
I say this as I get back to my apartment sad after learning about the cancellation on the 103rd street bridge.

My wife and I got there, put our stuff in our locker, popped by the bathrooms, grabbed a beer at The Grove...and the evacuation happened. Estimated time at the festival: 30 minutes?

If people are demanding refunds, I don't blame em and they should be getting their money back. I'd sure as hell expect a refund if all they got up to in the program was Daniel Caesar

Unfortunately for the fest goers they don’t legally need to refund as music had already started. Assuming this is Pano’s last year I would say there is a slim chance of a refund
Maybe fests should stop being held on that island. Also, New York doesn’t need festivals.
I couldn’t disagree more with this.
Sure acts always come here, but seeing everyone you want piles up, and this is coming from someone who is pretty comfortable and can see a good amount of shows.
Want to see Father John Misty or TWOD? It’s $50-70 at somewhere like prospect park or bk steel and then $50 in drinks and trasportation per show. And GA for headline level acts? Holy crap. Gorillaz or Florence at Barclays on the floor is the cost of a fest for 1 ticket floor.
New York absolutely positively needs feats. Multiple. Full stop.

Bonnaroo Northeast was supposed to be out in Eastern long island near calverton. It would have been better than a festival on Randall's island. But stupid NIMBY long Islanders didn't want hippies infesting the land and got it cancelled. There's still space out in spots on Long island but doubt anything gets set up there any time soon

i remember when they announced that. ..the traffic for that would've been terrible.. there was another festival that was supposed to happen in montauk too. long island is shitty for music venues in general

C3 was at one point going to have a camping festival called Vineland in NJ between Philly and NYC. Rage Against The Machine were even set to headline the inaugural year. But then AEG torpedoed them so they could start All Points West (which then also failed).

Went to sleep last night with a really good forecast - woke up to some shit for the afternoon. Ugh. I was able to cope with the cancellation yesterday because Friday's lineup was fairly weak, for my tastes, and there were still two more days to go. If part or all of today gets shitcanned...seppuku.

Wish other companies understood that before the bubble started to pop.
All points west was a good time...mud and all
Wasnt a fan of the beer jails or the 4 drink maximum per attendee. But I did go for free, Radiohead killed it both nights, and liberty state park has a great view.

My weather app is only saying 30% chance around 3. I think itll be ok.

Yeah, when I checked at 6 AM (stupid insomnia), it was looking rough, but the trend has been positive, so far, as the morning has gone on. Fingers crossed, 'n' all.
