Really feels like they just said fuck it this year to me. New layout really sucks and is just inconvenient.
St Vincent was great tho. Also i did actually enjoy Janet Jackson. Forgot how many songs I knew. The Joe Jackson tribute was kind of awkward.
I really don't feel this way at all. I like having the two entry ways into the main stage. The only bad point was SZA into Gucci which I assume walking from The XX to Odesza may be terrible.
I had a really great time yesterday, but the food vendors suck and the craft beer was better last year iirc
Wow, Lil Wayne never showed up?? I would be fuming.
I'm so very curious if there's more to the story than we know. I mean, if it really was a flight delay, they would have known that hours in advance - it takes a not-insignificant amount of time, with traffic, to get from any of the area airports to Randall's Island. So, why wait to make the announcement until after he was scheduled to go on? I mean, unless they deliberately didn't say anything because they didn't want people to stay home...which, I guess, makes some sort of sense, on the business side.

Everything was better last year. They got rid of the indoor bathrooms. I def miss the pavillion being a tent and the beer options are awful. That white picket fence divider thing in the middle is so annoying and no bathrooms or drinks without having to walk half way across the field.
Also waiting 30 min for a Lil Wayne set that never happened was lame and Gucci Mane lost power in the middle of his set.. This year has kind of been a disaster. But like I said St Vincent was great and Janet def delivered.

Hopefully they had enough time to get a replacement? Newport and XPN fest happening and arent too far. Give me a surprise Courtney Barnett or Sturgill set and ill be happy.... But last day of what is probably the last year... we are going to get 45 min of nothing going on in a muddy field aren't we?
And yes I cannot believe the way they handled Wayne’s cancellation. CLEARLY was known about prior, there was no reason to hide this, nor is there any excuse for an hour without music at a MUSIC FESTIVAL in New York City.
