I have really high hopes for this line up. Assuming it’s actially happening I’m sure they’re gonna spend like there’s no tomorrow to get people actually coming to this. Which unfortunately means the next few months will probably be pretty dry for shows as a New Yorker.

Same, this has become my favorite city festival.
With Gov Ball pretty clearly skewing younger and younger. The production of this fest and the more adult lineup makes it a fantastic time.
Still don't understand why they're so aloof on social media throughout the year though instead of trying to create some anticipation/momentum.

It me, as the kids say. The more names start getting kicked out around the GovBall clues that are being released, and the more names start being rumored for Pano, the more my focus is drifting here. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I wouldn't mind at all if Pano remained a smaller, more eclectic deal, kind of the Pitchfork to GovBall's Lollapalooza. I don't know how that's a profitable proposition for AEG, but they'd pretty much have me in a "shut up and take my money" position from the get go.
It's kind of a bummer, because I had some of the best times of my life at GovBalls '14, '15, and '17. And, I mean, who knows? I wasn't thrilled at first with last year's GovBall lineup beyond Tool, and ended up having an amazing time and seeing 30 sets. But it just feels like the wind is shifting this year, that it's becoming very clear these are festivals for two very different audiences, and that I am much more in the Pano crowd than the GovBall one.

Dude, just wait to actually see the lineup. People are making guesses based off of clip art (some right, some wrong). They'll have acts that I know people around here love, and some they probably don't. Just like every year. If you had fun last year, youll have fun this coming year.

HOW DARE YOU UNDERMINE MY EMOTIONAL SPEECH??? That was totally my Oscar moment.
I'm kidding. You're right, of course. Odds are, honestly, that I end up going to both festivals, like I did last year.

I just want redisni to come let us know whether Gov Ball got Pearl Jam or not
I honestly think it's pretty reasonable. The least reasonable day being The Cure and Bjork
It's probably just my personal tastes clouding my judgement but I would fall over myself to buy a ticket with that lineup.
Trust me I wouldn't too. And honestly I think this would move a ton of tickets. I don't see them brInging Kendrick back so soon. I have a feeling The Meadows will be Kanye's fest return to the big apple. That leaves Lady Gaga/ The Weeknd/ Beyoncé/ Eminem/ J Cole/ Rihanna/ Nicki Minaj as big hip hop/ R&B/ pop headliners. I feel like The Weeknd will take a break after Coach. And after the past two years I see RiRi or Nicki making most sense there. Maybe Bey. This is all based off of logic in my mind and no evidence though.
it wouldn't move a ton of tickets but I'd be there
The Weeknd would move a ton of tickets.
St Vincent just feels like a weak #2. However with the speculation of Fleet Foxes hitting this... I could see them being there. That would be a solid lineup.
