Man thats twice now that Radiohead has had NYC dates the week before or after Panorama, but didn't play the fest.
Doesn't the fact that they're playing 3 nights kinda explain it, though? Basically they'd have to play 1 night at Pano instead of 3 nights at MSG - kind of a no brainer, no?
But agreed - definitely stings this year because they couldn't get an interesting rock headliner.

Copying my post from the Coachella thread: The Weeknd is in the studio, so he's definitely working on something. A guy on the Coachella board who alleges he's close to someone in the XO camp claims he's dropping an album before Coachella this year.
Smashing Pumpkins tix went on sale today, but they are struggling to move tickets in their arena tour, Radiohead tomorrow will sellout the 3-days in less than 20 seconds... I guess SP doing arenas + the high prices combined were a bad move instead of doing some festivals for their "supposed to sellout reunion".

And every fest that overpaid for them would be struggling to stay alive.

They really should’ve done smaller festivals like this or dual nights at clubs. I’m fine with this though cause I might be able to snag some cheap last minute nosebleeds.

I just realized my Radiohead in Philly ticket is the same night as Pumpkins in the Garden. And I think Pumpkins in Philly is during Osheaga.. Not looking like I am going to see them on this run at all now. Ah well.

Why are you guys saying the Pumpkins aren't selling well? Tickets have been on sale for like 6 hours and the arenas already look like 80% sold. Plus they must be making a fortune considering the ticket prices after fees ranged from $75-250.
I got row 6 in the 200 level for $110 a ticket. Fuck me, I was expecting to pay that for floor seats. Looks like I'll be skipping Radiohead : (

It looks like it's selling alright. At least for those insane prices.
Feels like a show to wait until the week of on. MSG on a Wednesday in August, after the glow of the reunion wears off....goal is to sit upper deck or chase bridge for $30-50 a piece.
Pumpkins probably should have booked a few nights at T5, Irving, or BK Steel instead of trying to play an arena.
They would've been cool at Forest Hills.
I wonder how much the D'Arcy snub is hurting the response
That and the prices, $125 + fees on the 200's section is hurting the response... Wonder what could be their next move if this still the same around the following months, maybe add a couple of interesting opening acts or lower the prices.
Honestly I don’t care of Radiohead’s intentions with their tour. So long as the shows stay good and they continue to put out amazing albums I can’t complain

left at MSG and other arenas..check their subreddit... the prices are insane since they are not on GnR reunion level.

By the way, I wonder how much Radiohead playing two shows in Boston during the Panorama weekend is going to affect Pano's ticket sales (given that it's not too far away).
I see an SP meltdown in the future when our boy Billy is starting intensely at all these empty seats.
there's no way any of these shows get cancelled right? i guess if aracde fire didnt, they won't. they likely have just sunk too much money into this to turn back.

Yeah these are bad but not cancel bad. If they start doing some promo events (two nights at Metro or some other small clubs, shit they should have been doing before announcing this tour) they should get to a reasonable sales number.
