Ugh, I'm starting to get amped now! Took a break from digging into the lineup artists for a couple of weeks and finally back into listening to the ones I wasn't familiar with prior to their announcement and I'm just getting more and more into this lineup. (Plus the heavily weighted country lineup on Friday just makes me so happy on its own!)
Throw in the fact that we have a few unannounced still to go and I think this is going to be a phenomenal year.
Granted I'm probably clouding some of my thoughts with wishful thinking, but I think the longer we wait for the final announcements, the greater the payoff is going to be from Jay, especially if they're unannounced come week of the fest.

Sidenote I listened to the Telluride stream last night and I’m in Exeter right now enjoying some beer about to go to second beach for the rest of the day. Goddamn it I need Newport!

Yeah, however Glorietta is actually playing. So this is a little different.
Head and the Heart finally released initial dates for their tour. Late announcements, with a lot of holes. Only Northeast stop so far is the Levitate Festival in MA on July 8, then nothing until mid August. Manystops are with NFF favs --Lake Street Dive, Lukas Nelson, Sturgill, Gary Clark, Avett Bros, Mavis. Eddie Brickell and the New Bohemians ever play NFF? Anyway, kind of a wish of mine. It's all taste. And maybe timing.

I am such a total goofball. I meant Of Monsters and Men. But the email someone sent was referring to Head and the Heart who, of course, played last year. Monsters & Men seem to be siting this summer out.

Is anyone else convinced that Neil Young is the Saturday headliner? With all the appearance he'e been making with Lukas lately, plus hanging out with Margo Price all year. It has to come up in conversation!

I'm convinced that Paul Simon will be there. Jay Sweet has repeatedly said he wants Paul there and what better time than during his farewell tour. He has a massive gap in his schedule between the Europe leg and coming back to the US and Newport is right in the middle.
