I will expound more on this when things slow down here at work, including outlining roles and a more detailed synopsis of how I am modernizing and expanding this into a series. But to get things moving, here is the online description and some photos.
My series remake is of the 1988, John Carpenter cult classic "They Live".
Nadia (Carrie Coon), a drug addicted wanderer without meaning in her life, discovers a pair of sunglasses capable of showing the world the way it truly is. As she walks the streets of Los Angeles, Nadia notices that both the media and the government are comprised of subliminal messages meant to keep the population subdued, and that most of the social elite are skull-faced aliens bent on world domination. And now, one of them is running for President! With this shocking discovery, Nadia fights to free humanity from the mind-controlling aliens.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Anna Shea is Margaret Adler's best friend and possible lover. Margaret convinces Anna to work with her as a codebreaker during WWII.Nine years after the accident that creates the Sunken, Margaret and Anna conduct an operation to contact the Sunken. They are initially successful, but things go horribly wrong. The Sunken attempt to escape through Anna. They fail, pulling her back with them. Margaret would later write that bringing Anna to the island was her greatest mistake.
Anna will be played by Erin Yvette. Erin is Alex's voice actor in the original game.

Rami Malek will be playing a new character, SPC Adam Nasir.
He is an Arabic translator, and works closely with the doctors and nurses of the hospital. He is a first generation American son of parents that fled the Iraqi regime, and joined the army to help fight it, but instead gets commissioned as a translator.
actually @fortyfive33 now yeah I'm good, I've pretty much been on an island for the past few days but I've avoided all the terrible stuff thankfully.
for my pick...
Sir Ian McKellen. The Academy Award nominated, Emmy nominated, Gold Globe winning, Oliver Award winning, Tony winning actor and knight will be playing Metallus.
Here's the story overview. The second paragraph is the game's opening crawl.
"The story takes place approximately 4,000 years before the rise of the Galactic Empire. A republic soldier, training to become a Jedi Knight, is given the task of halting the conquest of Darth Malak by discovering the location of a weapon known as the Star Forge."
"Four thousand years before the rise of the Galactic Empire, the Republic verges on collapse. Darth Malak, last surviving apprentice of the Dark Lord Revan, has unleashed an invincible Sith armada upon an unsuspecting galaxy. Crushing all resistance, Malak's war of conquest has left the Jedi Order scattered and vulnerable as countless Knights fall in battle, and many more swear allegiance to the new Sith Master. In the skies above the Outer Rim world of Taris, a Jedi battle fleet engages the forces of Darth Malak in a desperate effort to halt the Sith's galactic domination…"
In my opinion, Knights of the Old Republic is pretty much the best Star Wars storyline besides the original trilogy. It takes place a long time before the movies so there's a lot of creative freedom. It's also a time period that hasn't really been explored in the cannon. You'll get to see the origins of the Jedi, Sith, and the Republic.
This is a fan trailer that would give you an idea of what the first part of the series would look like.
