Ren is Alex's best friend. The two were inseparable, although Jonas's entry into the picture (and Ren's feelings for Nona) will put strain on their relationship.
Larry David, who I drafted earlier as a writer, I am also drafting to play Chaplain Rabbi Mulberg, who in essence takes on the same role that Chaplain Father Mulcahy played in the original show.

Nona is Clarissa's best friend and Ren's love interest. She has a quite different opinion of Clarissa compared to Alex. She is adamant that they all make it out alive, whether Alex likes it or not.
