LLL's demeanor is different to me than when we've been townies together in the past. She's stressing how she's a victim and that she's the diplomatic one while being a touch of an asshat towards me. Worry not my dear, my feeling is in tact, but my curiosity was in piqued.
LLL could have been in a runoff with 2 of her top 3 suspects. Instead, she pushes Dan ahead and claims self preservation, but she had to see this backfiring. That is not a townie move in my book. So why did she really not create a 3 way runoff? She could have voted for Carini (someone who seems universally accepted as town) or Pablo (someone she herself has mentioned in her top 3 suspects). She voted for Dan, I think, because it was the only way she could hopefully keep 2 mafia out of a 3 person runoff.
I think there's a strong chance LLL and Pablo are it.
JR > LLL
JR: I agree that it seems weird that LLL would talk shit about you, which felt gratuitous, and then complain about how hard it is to be a female playing mafia. She may be right on both counts, but both seem like too much of an emotional appeal and could be attempted manipulation.
It does seem weird to me that LLL did not vote for me earlier if I am supposedly one of her primary suspects. I think that might all be bullshit anyway, because that's a relatively new line of thinking that she has introduced that could help keep her alive today.
My initial vote on LLL was to balance the votes to create a runoff, with the intention of possibly moving to Dan if I had to later. Props to Dan for finally admitting to JR that he has been bad for Town this game. He has, at best, had terrible intuition, used lazy logic, gone after the wrong players the entire game, and has consistently voted for me and called me Mafia for pointing this out. At worst, he is Mafia. As of this moment, I feel better about leaving my vote on LLL than switching to Dan, but they're about the same to me. I've been suspicious of Dan all game, but LLL has done some odd things recently that have me thinking others may be right to suspect her.
I'm not Mafia, JR. I made a mistake when looking at a wall of BBCode on my phone last night while I was smoking a cigarette. I should have waited until I was back inside at my laptop, but I was feeling pretty dangerous, I suppose. I was active because I wasn't working, was conscious, and got an alert that LLL had just voted. I wanted to throw a tally up since everyone had voted at that point.
Fwiw, LLL mentioned Dan as one of her top suspects (she said two out of SFA/dan/pablo), so i don't find her vote that disingenuous.
Yeah, that's a fair point. She probably could have been pretty confident at that point in time that ultimately Dan would be killed because either I or someone else would end up voting for him. If she believes Dan is likely Mafia (and I do, so I couldn't fault her for agreeing with me) she's probably getting Mafia killed in that scenario, although drawing some unwanted attention to herself. Now things are a little fuzzier, but I'd still be happy if Dan was dead. Problem is, JR has kind of put me in a corner where he says I'm Mafia with LLL and a vote change by me might be seen as saving LLL.

Could you please explain the part I bolded? I'm not following you here.
I was going off of SFA's list, assuming his blackened players are "unconfirmed" players. I think that JR, like Zolah was, is likely town. It seems to be the belief that other players have as well. Unless he was doing a mega-distancing from Maddog. He didn't have to vote for Maddog, he could have easily chosen Zolah in the first day. But, since I am looking for distancing, I am keeping him on the spectrum, he just isn't as high up on it as the other Maddog voters.
And I think it is more likely that Zolah was whacked as a set-up, but of course I'm going to think that since I would be one of the players that I think Mafia is trying to point to and I am town. That is what I meant by "distancing". I think that it is one of the less "obvious" players that Zolah mentioned. I think they would have whacked someone else if they didn't see the opportunity to set someone else up, and if they didn't think she may end up switching winds to someone else she saw as suspicious.
I hope that makes sense.
I've included the 3 statements of hers I am looking at. Danbob and I are the "most obvious" players. Not saying Danbob isn't mafia at all, he may well be, but I think that there is at least one in these three players. Potent may well have been mafia as well, which would be ideal because we can end the game this Day possibly.
Part of why I suspected Danbob was because you and him had a few exchanges... And I found you inspector-ish, while I found him either shady or lazy. I did not want to vote with Danbob... So I opted to vote WITH you. If you are inspector, you better get to talking now... Because if I seen it, they've seen it. And if you're not inspector, you are mafia.
I introduced this line of thinking before I was in a run-off, after last day and you acting like you may be the Inspector, and then not being the Inspector. I saw it, Zolah saw it. Funny how she ends up whacked after pointing this out...
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

And yes. I am prone to getting emotional. It is frustrating as hell that it feels Mafia does this every game to me, and in spite of this being a pattern, town still buys it. If I'm not whacked, I am the set-up.

I'll concede that I put too much faith in potent early on in the game but I really don't think my logic has been that lazy. In fact, I just went through all my posts and I don't really see anything that I would consider bad logic.
Also I find it funny that Pablo thinks the reason I think he's mafia is because he's pointing out my "lazy logic" but he didn't come after me until I pointed out HIS change in playing style. Here is the relevant part from his initial vote for me.
After that half-page of dialogue between myself and Danbob about LD, Danbob later accuses me of being quieter than usual in the middle of the Night and suggests putting me in a run-off Day 2:
I can see why I might deserve some scrutiny. I don't have a problem with being in the runoff. I think I'll hold up fairly well to a closer look, even if I have been a little less active.
I think that's a weird thing for Danbob to say during Night. Most people don't talk or use coded language. He just says I specifically have been quieter than usual, therefore I should be in the run-off. Someone who knew they weren't getting whacked might say that, but why would Town who legitimately believe they're calling Mafia out during Night? Unless the plan was getting yourself whacked to out the Mafia or something, that seems risky.
By the way, Danbob is giving me way too much grief for curbing my Mafia spamming addiction. Sure, I'm not first in posts this game, but I'm still fourth behind Zolah, who is basically the ref, Maddog, who was almost certainly Mafia trying to talk his way out of a lynching, and SFA. I was very active in supporting LD, who is confirmed Town. (We can talk about scenario where he's not Town, but they don't make a ton of sense to me). And even aside from my post count, I have been pretty influential in this game, for better or worse. I am in no way hiding. I've been using my votes in a way to try to maximize my personal information and leverage and I did it to kill someone we all have a pretty good idea was Mafia. If Maddog was Mafia, I don't know why I would vote the way I did.
So anyway, I'm voting for Danbob. I'm just not buying what he is selling. Maybe that's myopic because he and I have gotten into it already, but I disagree with so much of his play in this game so far.

You started talking about it yesterday. That's not very long ago. It's also after a whack that you're now trying to frame as being because she came after me in some way. That's a little off. Zolah said a lot of stuff that points in all sorts of directions. That's why she was a good whack for Mafia. She gave so little information to us. She and I were on the same page pretty much all Day 2, though. She thought I was Inspector and begged me to come out. Well, I'm not Inspector and I'm not Mafia, so there's no reveal coming from me. I've never been Mafia, but that seems like a pretty golden opportunity to fake.

Pablo > Danbob
My dude, you explicitly stating I should be in a run-off during a Night round, based entirely on my activity level, which was still high overall, when you think I have the power to whack you, is the laziest logic I've seen while playing this game. You're also acting like my going for you was solely in response to you calling me out during the Night. It was Day 2, and there was no good reason for me to advance a campaign against you before that. Town don't get to just call out Mafia during Night rounds with impunity. At that point, there were several factors influencing my suspicions of you, but most of it was how you were interacting with known (to me) Town (LD, me) and highly-suspicious-character Potent. And since that post, you have done so little to convince me otherwise. The best you have as far as a contribution since Day 2 is stuff like "this Pablo guy keeps voting for me. Wow. That's pretty messed up, right guys? He talked less that one weekend, so he must be Mafia." and "oh yeah, Potent. Sure." which could have been distancing. You've given us pretty much no content other than Day 1 where you were just wrong the whole time. And even as I point that out, you barely admit to it and try to deflect attention back at me.
Dude I've admitted it. Also I don't see how calling you out at night is lazy logic - let alone the worst you've seen playing this game. Also quote which posts I say "this Pablo guy keeps voting for me" or whatever. Oh wait.... I never said any of those things.
I'd also like to point out when I said that you were quieter than usual I didn't mean that you had been the most quiet person in the game. I was pointing out your change of play style which I still stand by.

In terms of making moves to get people who I think are Mafia lynched, I have been more active in this game than any other I have played. People had themselves thinking I was Inspector due to my actions and words. They were wrong, but I think this shows that I am acting deliberately, logically, and in the interest of Town.

What was your thinking the other day behind locking Potent 2 or 3 votes ahead?
Perhaps I should have, but I wanted to leave little doubt in anyone's mind that this was my intention all along, not some showy attempt at jumping on Potent because it made me look better somehow.

But, you know, I was probably wrong to do that. I should have given Dan or whomever else the opportunity to save Potent as Mafia, especially given that my logic regarding one being Mafia involves the other. I somewhat doubt Mafia would have moved from Potent, though. I had given some advance warning that I would eventually vote for Potent. The jig was up for Potent at that point. A Mafia member would have been foolish to try to save him.
You asked my opnion on LLL. I don't think her making emotional appeals is all that telling one way or the other. True, she's usually centered and analytical but i've seen her get frustrated no matter her role. In fact, the first time she was mafia she spun everyone in circles talking and joking. I don't think any of the living players in the late rounds had much of a clue she could be mafia.
Could she be mafia and frustrated? yep, but I would say comparing her actions to her words would be more telling.

It sounds like you think Potent was Mafia? If that is the case, with his vote change from me in round 1 and then him saying he thought SFA and myself seemed the most "town", I can see why it makes sense to think I may be Mafia. Fair enough. So there would be one Mafia left. When you find that the game doesn't end after this day because I am town--IF you are not Mafia-- I would implore you to use some fresh eyes and look at this game again. Town is getting the wool pulled over their eyes and are being misdirected.

It may be too late, but I'm going to try to reread as if I know nothing and take some notes. Unfortunately, my work schedule won't allow it before the round ends.

Thank you. I'm going back to bed for an hour or two (it's my day off and I was up late). Right now I feel kind of stuck because if I switch to Dan, Jaz has already suggested that he would vote for LLL, and Dan would have the final vote, choosing between himself and LLL. I could also get myself killed, which would be a worst-case scenario for Town from my perspective. I can only be sure of my own role, so saving myself is most beneficial to Town from where I'm sitting. It's unlikely I'll move my vote at this point, and I'm taking a risk that I'll get killed, but I think we could talk this out a little more. Last night discussion kinda fizzled out.
Also I understand I was wrong day 1. I had no information. Why does that make me mafia?
How were you wrong on Day 1? You voted immediately for Maddog and stayed on him until he died.
"Wrong" in the sense that I defended Potent day 1 but became my main suspect Day 2. Not wrong in my vote (the most important- yet the part Pablo doesn't wanna talk about).

Congratulations on not moving your vote all round off of someone who everyone had pegged as Mafia.
Carini: Because I'm hoping someone will come around and see what I'm seeing. No matter what I do here, LLL is dead.

Not sure why you're being sarcastic. I helped get a mafia member out on day 1 and you're purposely overlooking it to bash me about defending Potent.
