Not enough to change my vote but I do find LDs behavior a little off. It seems like he's trying to do everything possible just to slip out of the runoff.

If I die, I die. I'm trying to put people on notice, people that normally try and fly under the radar without a lot of scrutiny.
This seems a little off to me. LD wanted to vote for Potent after Potent had dropped LLL for him. LD had no reason to vote for Potent with his first vote. Not sticking up for Mr. Defensive LD here, but your posts seem a little forced here, Carini. Especially in comparison to your posts last game.
I just forgot the timeline of events, actually didn't realize until now how badly I miscalculated it lol. Posted the first one while on quick break at work, and the second was just a clarification. Also his answer was good for me and I saw no need to press further on the topic. I know that doesn't make much sense but I've been staring at my screen for the past 5 min trying to figure how to reword it and can't. (damn corn)
Forced? Nah, just not a good week for me to play mafia, so good thing it fell early day 1 and starting tomorrow I'll be able to pay attention more. Are you the mafia who is going to try and frame me for not being actively involved yet or have you simply bought into Zig's bs like Pablo has

Choke on a cob, Carini.
My corn has been delicious, tyvm. How about a vote so that we might have a chance to react?
So... tipsy Zolah here. But last round, Maddog and Pablo discussed Maddog's last minute extension/vote switch back and forth which seemed odd to me (not at the time, only upon re-reading, I believe it was page 4). Now Pablo is just MIA all weekend while he needs to simply vote. I get that it would have just been easier last round for Pablo to just vote me than to vote Jaz and then Maddog go, "whoa, extension, voting Zolah," but it's weird. And that's something Potent/Dan & I would have done last game... And oddly enough, that shit worked. JR... Make me another drink...

I was mafia with Maddog 2 games ago and I can see him being conniving like this. I didn't catch it on my own, but this makes me want to look a little closer.
Also, on Friday, the game was waiting on Pablo and JR, so I voted to keep the game going. Pablo's last post on Inforoo was 4 hours ago, but we've been waiting for him to vote for 2.5 days.

I was going to wait to say this after all the votes were in but I'll go ahead and point this out. The quietness also fits a long time pattern of LD being an easy round 1 mark, partly cause he brings it on himself. Seems almost too perfect that LD is sitting there with 4 votes for 48 hours and there is literally nothing said.
Could mean nothing but it's always something that sticks out to me with players like LD and Roonectar. Granted, most of the older players are all gone so that changes that dynamic a fair amount.

LD has not fallen off my radar at all. For him to toss me into the runoff for voting for him, and then him wanting Potent in the runoff for putting him in seems very paranoid. Not one or the other necessarily, but for both... I also don't want to get too much cloudy vision. There are people who haven't said or done much who could easily be under the radar.

On my last read-through, immediately before I voted for LD, I knew I didn't have any decent leads on anyone being mafia. So I read looking for the inspector and I got an "LD is not inspector" vibe, so that's what I voted.

That's literally how LD plays though. Not to mention retaliation votes are pretty common in general. That's why I said he brings it on himself. He could be mafia for all I know. I'm just saying what sticks out to me. I've been wrong before.

Yeah, I should have clarified. This is one of those cases where the mafia can usually sit back and not get too involved. People who raise hell and make themselves look guilty are the ones the mafia talk about in PMs and say things like "let's sit back, so and so will set themselves up.
In other words, my point wasn't necessarily about who was voting for him. It's more that he's hanging out there with the most votes for 2 days with no discussion going on. To me, that's usually an indication the mafia is fine with the way things are.

People always say that, but my anecdotal experience is that the mafia waits for someone else to make the move. I know every time I'm mafia we get in that position and go silent, and some townie who doesn't know better bails us out.
I'm interested in why you are so interested in defending LD right now. It's Day One, townies shouldn't really have much opinion on who dies, and a townie dies most times on D1 and we can't do much about it because we don't know shit.
I'm on LD but not for much reason other than that's where I could move my vote D1R1 that left no revoters in the runoff. I see no reason to move right now, though I will move in the morning if Pablo hasn't voted so we don't just vote him off.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Catching up on mobile with vodka... which sucks for me. I almost agreed with SFA... but I agree more with Potent here. Been there a few times and town usually puts their foot in their mouth. It almost makes me want to suspect some random 3 who haven't had much input yet.

Do they really always say that? I know I tend to use it for making decisions and, if memory serves, I've been right more times than I've been wrong.... at least on day one.
Yes, sometimes you do that. But it's usually in games where more suspicion and townie fuckery is taking place. My mafia teams have also tried to engage in some banter and keep things spinning. Even if it's two mafia staging a fight with each other. Mostly because people are hesitant to rock the boat and switch things up without some kind of motivation.

Because if I'm right, that could point to a mafia being among the other two. At the very least, it tells me that maybe I don't want to vote for him this day. Part of the game is putting that out there and seeing what people think, correct? Also, the thing your interested in is kind of how I always play in round 1. I've never been afraid to point things out and say if I think someone might be innocent or whatever.... even when my vote is on that person.
What's better? Throwing out ideas based on the events so far, and from experience, or just saying "fuck it, it's round 1. We don't know shit so lets vote"?
And I'll repeat, I could be totally wrong but this is type of shit LD always does that gets him into hot water, so I at least don't find anything that notable about it.

I think you're misunderstanding me. This is more situation specific. But to address this: How many times have you been mafia and sat back for 48 hours waiting for townies to make a mistake in the first round? I don't recall a single instance. In fact, you guys tended to move around just to make a smokescreen or vote for each other. That's nothing like waiting around for 48 hours hoping for a townie to accidentally save a fellow mafia.
What I'm reminded of now is specific to players like LD. People who have a long history of drawing negative attention to themselves. When the mafia see someone like this on the ropes the tendency is to sit back. What my gut tells me and what I've experienced over the years is that Townie LD rarely makes it past the first 2 rounds. There was a time were he was in the first round runoff almost every time he played it seemed. Times change and play styles change but this is classic example of LD with me sticking up for him. I can dig up a bunch of games where I've said this and been right. I can also find some where I've been mafia and used him in Round 1.
In my opinion, out of the three people heading to the next round LD is the least likely to be mafia. Remember, this isn't the final runoff, the mafia could be holding back hoping someone(you or maddog) slips out of this round and that locks it for them. Or it could be a case where all 3 of you are innocent. Either way, I think LD is the least likely, which means if you're innocent you should be considering who you'd rather go up against. Because if feels like the final is going to be between you and LD. If that's the case I'll be voting for you, even though I don't feel you've done anything suspicious either.
Potent asked me why I'm "interested in defending LD right now." Well, I think it's pretty clear. This round is set the close early tomorrow. I'm warning everyone that we are likely decreasing our chances of getting a mafia if we keep going the direction the mafia is seemingly fine with.

Read over some things. Another thing of interest. Out of all of Maddog's talk of not freeing votes of the people in the runoff. He's ended up voting in a way that benefits him the most. The conventional thinking* being "It makes more sense to vote for Zolah in this situation because if I vote Maddog it only gives us info from 1 voter instead of 3."
Looking back this has been brought up several times this game. By Potent and Pablo. I know I've used this argument for my early votes a good bit too in the past.
What if the weird extension/last minute minute switch is because maddog saw an opportunity to up his chance of escaping the runoff?

Pablo > Maddog
LD and Maddog are the most interesting players among these three to me. After reciprocal votes, Carini can decide between the two.
I don't think it will necessarily be that simple. I also expect an LD-Maddog runoff to produce the most drama. I am curious to see who changes votes, as well.
I wanted to make this move yesterday but wanted to see where Pablo placed his vote first. I'm leaning town on Maddog right now, and regardless it doesn't make much sense to have Carini be the sole meaningful revote when we could have more info from the Maddog voters.
Interesting that both others in the runoff are voting for me. And 2 rounds in a row Pablo makes the deciding vote and someone changes it to keep me in. It could be said Jaz was saved last round. Or Maddog this round. Oddly enough, those are the two keeping me in it as well.
I find it extremely weird how aggressive Potent was toward SFA who, in my opinion, was making some very decent points about LD. I'm inclined to agree with SFA here - quiet favors mafia. That's just a fact. I know that I was suspicious of LD earlier but I'm starting to rethink my suspicions. Gonna need to do a reread.
I feel like Maddog and Jaz slipping out and each throwing me in last minute is more suspicious than LD retaliating x2. I also think it would be more beneficial for town to see where Potent/LLL/JR re-vote... Because they've been 3 of the quieter players.
