Hopscotch Music Festival 2018

3 times in the past 3 weeks I’ve looked at the line-up to find a name I didn’t see before. Shopping, Hatachi, and Palberta are all playing and I didn’t even realize it. I’m slowly coming around to this line-up.

The email blast mentioned another 40 names, so I’m hoping sooner rather than later.

I also saw Hailu Mergia, Mind Over Mirrors, and Renata Zeiguer at Northside a few weeks ago. All were worth seeing again soon.

While I fully get the appeal of B+S, I’ve never really gotten them. Sorry for the folks that wanted them though.

I’m personally setting myself up for Parquet Courts but I’m gonna be fine with whatever.

Sleep, huh. This just went from “it’ll still be a fun weekend” to “FUUUU”.

Super excited for that Mary Lattimore and Meg Baird set, too.

Mary Lattimore & Meg Baird vs. Grouper is sucking the life outta this.

On a plus note, I hope this means 2 hours of Sleep though. And I got my Skeletonwitch opening set.

SAT.: Speedy Ortiz --> Moses Sumney --> Liz Phair --> Chic --> MC50 --> Ed Schrader's Music Beat --> Gang Gang Dance --> Grouper --> Vic Mensa (though I might head back to Virginia before Vic)

Honestly have no idea what I'll do as far as the schedule goes, outside of the City Plaza shows. Did just notice that CAM was missing as a venue so RIP that walk.
