Still sleeping off after getting home yesterday but wanted to say fun was had. Mixed up the schedule last minute Saturday night to see Mistresses and Palberta before Lattimore & Baird with no regrets. Mistresses ended up being one of my favorite sets of the weekend and Palberta was awesome. Ended the weekend with the duo set that transcended. Perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
Dates are up for next year (surprise) it's the weekend after Labor Day.

City Plaza was off schedule Saturday. Speedy Ortiz wasn’t good. Liz Phair was as good as to be expected.
MC50 took the cake. Missed starts, Kramer sounded like shit, and overall it ruined that record that night. It was heavy on the karaoke feel that just came across as obnoxious and played out, imo.
I ended up running to Mistresses and have no regrets on that.
Three Lobed always throws the best parties, imo. It’s a yearly event, too. I just saw Long Hots open for Vampire Belt (Bill Nace (Body/Head) and Chris Corsano) here a few nights ago. Pretty psyched to see them soon again too.
Well that's fantastic news. I keep pitching a story on Three Lobed at my new job. It's only barely related to the stuff we cover. I absolutely do not care. I will convince someone to pay to me fanboy over them in some way shape or form for an afternoon.
No joke, I got to pitch this again yesterday afternoon. It was in a conversation with our video director about a new direction for the show. She asked if there was one story I've always wanted to do but can't because of our editorial focus and I gave her my speil on Three Lobed.
It could quite possibly be all for naught but there is a chance in 2019 I get the go-ahead to reach out to Three Lobed and ask to do a feature on them.
