One of the guys who ran it is on the Lockn board. I think he shut it down because there was basically no participation there.
Makes sense. It did pick up quite a bit as it got closer to fest time. Met a couple people off there over the years and the one guy who came to our beer exchange last year found it on there. Haha

WTF. Bisco is usually those dates....interesting. I wonder if they will go kinda back to back instead of taking down everything just to put it all back up again a few months later.

For selfish reasons I like the move to July. It gives me a month break before Lockn. I'll have to decide between Bisco and Peach though. No chance I can swing back to back weekends at Montage.

Yeah, I agree. This spaces out the summer a bit for me.
I just noticed the Proboards Peach Pit site is gone.
Didn't you have something to do with running that btcs34 ?
When do we get dates? I need to know for sure to lock down my vacation days at work! I'm guessing it will be soon.
Nope, not me. I'm a bit meh about the date change. I enjoyed how often it fell on or around my birthday, and right before I head back to school. Oh well, excited to spend a little time on The Mountain with ya'll.
Cabinet to go on indefinite hiatus as of the New Year. Had heard this was coming but sad.
One of the first bands that I fell in love with at Peach Fest. One of the best "jam-grass" bands out there. I've met the guys. Gotten signed posters. Seen too many shows to count. Peach won't be the same without multiple Cabinet sets.

Damn, and they just dropped a great new album! That's too bad.
That sounds fun! I was surprised to be able to get $99 tickets at 1230pm...but I did so I'm in!
Nice! Yeah last year they sold out in about 5 minutes. I know they upped the amount they are offering this year but I am sort of surprised they are still around. I'm excited for the lineup.

I wonder if the move so close to Bisco means booking these things were getting more difficult. Wouldnt be surprised to see a huge crossover between lineups.

I doubt there will be any more crossover than before. The move for Peach was 100% to not conflict with the Phish Fest at Watkins Glenn in August. Baker's Dozen hurt them enough last year. They also save some money not having to tear down and put up stages multiple times, on trash removal, on mountain rent, etc.. I don't think it had anything to do with booking.
I just sent Peach a Facebook message asking how I go about requesting for a photo pass. Not really expecting it to happen, but would love the opportunity.
So let's talk Allman related bands. I think there will still be quite a few:
Jaimoe's Jassz Band - Has been at every Peach, 6th or 7th line
Dickey Betts - Doing 10 or so dates this summer. You would think they have to ask. 2nd or 3rd line
Devon Allman and Duane Betts Project- Both were at the Tribute last year (and saw both in the lounge behind the Peach stage together) and can't see them passing this up. 7th or 8th line
Scott Sharrard & the Brickyard Band - Gregg Allman band's music director. Played last year and had great reviews. Lower poster

Not sure if he's still with them, and probably a stretch, but Duane Betts joined Dawes. I'm a big fan of those guys. I think they'd fit in nicely too.

I don't believe he is with them any longer. Trevor Menear took over his spot. Funny you mention that though as I did mention Dawes as a band to look at last year to one of the important Peach people. I'd enjoy a band that is a little less jam than some and with MMJ going over well I think a band or two that is more indie rock could fly.
Looks like no TTB. In Pittsburgh Wednesday of the fest then heading west for Friday (Indy), Saturday (Mihcigan) and Sunday (Ohio). Not surprised since Derek said he was distancing himself from the ABB legacy but I know how much he liked Peach when he played it. Had a conversation with him walking around in 2014.
Edit: Although Marcus King said he was playing Peach at a recent show and he is on the TTB tour, sooooo maybe.

Came to post about TTB. Bummer. Glad I'm seeing them next month.
Yeah, I have two local TTB shows on that tour so that works out for me if they don't play. It doesn't make sense routing wise but Marcus did mention to someone that he was playing this year again.

I thought he was just saying that he was coming back to Peach - which could mean any year

Very true. People took it as this year but it really could mean anytime.
