Went last year, nice little fest.. but just too 'jammy' for me, and Jam bands are my music of choice. Just needed some variety, a STS9 or big name DJ would have done wonders for the fest. Towards the end of it I just got bored. The statement surprises me also especially considering My Morning Jacket is my favorite band of all time, while Mule and Panic are both top 7.
This years lineup is even worse in terms of being one note, they need to mix things up a little more.
Does anyone have experience in either family camping or ada camping?
I havent done either but I have seen them. Family camping is the first section of the hill when the wagons are takong you up thr blue loop. We have camped right next to it before. Anyone can go there.
ADA is back behind the main and Grove stages by the walkway to the RV lot. Flat ground. Other side of the site from regular camping. Shuttles to the stages.
Awesome. Welcome! Aqueous and Big Something are both great.
Thank you! They both stole my heart with their sets at Hula last year.
Also how is the camping? Pretty spread out?
Camping is rough. Hardest part of Peach but kind of a badge of honor as well. Camping (besides ADA) is entirely on the ski slopes. You want to arrive as early as possible to find a good, at all flat spot. Sleep with your feet down the mountain. Yoga mats or velcro to keep your mattress or sleeping bag from sliding downhill. Pack light because youre moving everything up a mountain.
Worth noting that Marcus King Band are on that tour with them and on this lineup
Derek is distancing himself from anything Allmans. They wont be there.
Are you positive about that? The Tedeschi Trucks Band played both Statesboro Blues and Whipping Post last night - both Allman Brothers standards. They also played these two when I saw them back in December. I wouldn't rule it out just yet - their schedule is open, and as Strawman noted, the Marcus King Band (part of their Wheels of Soul tour this year) is already there.

He does still play songs but they won't be there. They are only free on Thursday and heading west. It is a lot easier for Marcus to jump back east for a night than an 11 piece band.

Ah, yeah, that makes a lot of sense. My apologies!
What kind of collabs/sit-ins do you expect/hope for?
Expect: Phil with Midnight North Taz with Mule Nikki Bluhm with Phil & the Family Band
Hope For: Phil with moe. (after their Lockn' set last year) Warren with Dickey A big ole' mashup of the Catskill Chill bands (Turkuaz, Pigeons, Twiddle, etc.)

Taz will prob also make his way out with twiddle at least as one of the friends - they jammed pretty hard together at the Cap.
Turkuaz posted some fest dates to their tour schedule. They show 7/19 for Peach which normally wouldn't mean much since it is the first day of the fest but they post their actual days for Levitate and Electric Forest so I am betting they are Thursday here and Friday at Mounting Jam.
moten33 - Any of the lower line bands here you recommend/have seen before?
I have seen a good portion of the bands. I won't mention Pigeons because they have moved up the poster but do not miss them. Of the lower lines:
Aqueous - Always brings a good show of jammy rock Big Something - Have never seen a bad show from these guys, high energy jams Organ Freeman - Great musicians, mostly instrumental, not for everyone but jazzy good stuff Magic Beans - Are a funky dance party, similar to Pigeons without Greg's vocals Litz - Funky band, Austin Litz is great on the sax Gatos Blancos - Cabinet offshoot supergroup (Pappy, Dylan and Justin all played with Cabinet) and John Kimock (Steve's son and Mike Gordon's drummer) Funky Dawgs - Fun New Orleans parade line type brass band. Best caught walking through the fest for impromptu sets Juice - Sounds a lot like Ripe who they opened for at the Cap recently. Have never seen but for the last band on the poster they sound pretty decent
Pumped for my first Peach! Been going to Mtn Jam since 2011 but the way they strayed from their roots and Peach’s killer lineup made it an easy call this year. But anyway, i’m big into checking out smaller named bands before i go to festivals, so i’ve been doing that and I am liking what I see from Mo Lowda & the Humble & The Blue Stones. Both are high energy bands that sound like there are way more musicians on stage. Blue Stones are only a 2 piece. Both look like they will be fun sets. Other bands that i haven’t seen yet that am super stoked for are Spafford, Magic Beans, Twiddle, Big Something, Main Squeeze, etc.......Anders & Jackie together will be cool as well. Also looking forward to seeing who they add!

Mo Lowda & the Humble had a Turkuaz after show in Athens last year but I had a bit too much fun and didnt make it. I don't know much about them or the Blue Stones.
All the other bands you mentioned are great and I am looking forward to them as well.
Mo Lawda and the Blue Stones are similar southern-ish rock in that Blackberry Smoke demo probably. Never seen either live but both are enjoyable on record and i imagine they would be good shows.
