Not too much difference between July and August. It is really just luck of the draw. 2013, 2014 and 2016 were ungodly hot, 2015 was chilly and 2017 was a mix but mostly warmer and rainy.
Skipping hangout has this and Bisco highly in play.

Yes, Thursday is a preparty type of deal. Usually a couple bands on the water park stage starting around 530 or so, one main act on the main stage from 830-midnight, then late night back at the waterpark.
This year Thursday was amazing. I watched giant panda guerilla dub squad from the wave pool. 3 hour jrad Set then dopapod latenight. Don’t miss Thursday!

Thursday is great. Usually a little less crowded. You got there early and busted your ass to get set up on the mountain. Everyone is ready to rage by the time music starts.

That's a good list. I had Byrne as my third headliner on my mock a few months ago. That would be crazy even if he gets a bit out there at points. I cant see how they dont bring JRAD back. Winwood would be great. I'd be down for pretty much all of those.

Phil has been playing more venues now that whatever contract he had with Shapiro is done and he played a string of Live Nation events around the area around Halloween at venues close to Peach so it could be a package deal.

I'll believe it. Not just because I'd like to see him there, but with what you're saying, it makes total sense. I'd assume it'd be his family band + others. Also someone messaged Peach on Facebook regarding the dates and they said dates haven't been decided yet. I'll be happy if that's true. I enjoy that Peach falls on or around my birthday each year.

Have any of y'all been to LOCKN'? I hear it's incredibly similar to peach in regards to vibes
LOCKN' is my favorite festival. Quite life changing.
I have my eye on Peach as well. While some don't like the venue, I'm a fan of it.
Montage is one of my favorite venues. But that's just my biased opinion. I've been coming there for shows since I was a kid. They used to get great acts, but that hasn't been the case for a while now. I'm very thankful that Peach is there.

How did I miss this date shift? This is officially in play for me ALONE. My wife will never attend this fest again. I'll keep my eye on it if I can grab a $99 pass.

It isn't official but someone created that image and uploaded it to customer facing servers. I had heard they were moving a little bit because of Festival 11 but this is a big shift if confirmed.

if booking.com knows anything (or the local hotels do) then it might be that weekend cuz the prices seem pretty high. I just got a cheapass room at the econo lodge and I'll go if I can get a $99/$149 GA ticket.

If you are on and ready right when they go on sale, you shouldn't have any problem getting them. Or if you wait it out until fest week, you can probably get them cheaper. I got a pair for a friend for $100 with camping week of last year.
Think we can pencil in Dickey & Friends, The Great Southern, or whatever band he brings. I imagine he would be a headliner here.
I know they have asked him to play in the past. He wouldn't be a headliner. I bet he doesn't even play 2 shows before canceling and going back to retirement. Even in his good years he was only good for about 50% of his scheduled shows.
Holy shit David Byrne just announced a show in Wilkes-Barre. I'll be there. He must be testing out the area for Peach
Sweet! Also playing in Buffalo. Going to catch that if I can afford it. His billings at festivals have been lower than expected. If he could be in that 4-6 range at Peach that would be amazing.
