I mean a collective of knuckleheads came up with Brockhampton in a landscape like this one. It’s not too unbelievable that an event could come out of it. We wouldn’t even have to worry about Ameer Vann sucking the life force out of it.
It's a complete other thing to get a music festival off the ground.
If you can pitch it to some investors, use local people etc. I mean, there are litteraly so many people on this board with so many talents and connections?

To be fair you guys have insight on music festivals and far more knowledge about the subject than the average joe. Many of us also keep our finger on the pulse and know what’s on the rise. I’d say that’s somewhat of a talent in itself.
Edit: and if it’s not a talent per say, it’s definitely a quality I would look for in a booking group

Exactly, the Now Playing thread is the place to get up to date, when you're sleeping on some records or get to know very underground stuff, with new music (atleast for me). I'm sure if you tried to book BROCKHAMPTON for example around the time they put out Sat 1, they'd sure as hell would be cheap to book.
I know some people defs here have connections in the industry or have some scoopz via people they know. It's not much but it's a start.

A podcast with certain board members would be realistic.
If you're for real then I have to thank you. Thank you times ten. This post depressed me a lot, especially since other cancelled festivals made this report seem uncomfortably plausible.
If your fest has to put in an all-EDM stage, or raise prices, or cut down to only one day, or sell out to Live Nation or something, personally I'd understand. You have to turn a profit somehow. For what it's worth though, as long you keep booking such unique, challenging, rare, captivating live shows and supplementing them with incredible visual art, I will be at your festival every year and will keep refusing to shut up about how great it is. For what it's worth.
That is litteraly the complete oposite of what this festival should do. Keep it obscure and underground, it'll find it's audience just like niche festivals here in Europe found theirs.
