form acrosta (?) seems sort of like it, but it's super expensive comparatively. the Pitchfork mid winter (?) thing that took place around the museums seemed like it had promise to be similar, but it's like going to a club fest so you had to buy tickets to each individual event.
III Points and Form Arcosanti are the two that I have seen similarities with - looking at both fests' past lineups, they share very many acts with the 3 D4N years. I would love to visit both just to get a recreated feel in a different setting - that's one thing I'll give them, those two locations appear way preferable than Houston (sry locals).

Miami is also super expensive, just from cost alone day for night was best bang for buck.

I guess cuz fraud lol
yea the warehouse/art installations is what made day 4 night. III Points does seem similar though.
why can't somebody else just take over D4N, it was so awesome and unique.
The article makes a slight, vague, passing mention that someone who was previously involved with Day For Night in some capacity had been contacted about creating a new festival in Houston.
"As of this writing, Free Press has been rebranded and relaunched as online-only Byline Houston. The future of Day for Night, part of the sale that included Byline, remains unclear, although it’s worth noting that the post-sale statement explicitly left the door open to a reborn festival experience; publisher John Mills-McCoin, who would likely oversee that effort, declined an interview request. At least one former Day for Night collaborator confirmed that he’d been contacted for preliminary conversations about staging an event in Houston."
So who knows. there's still a slight glimmer of hope it will be back in some form - or it'll just be another generic festival to add to the pile. Honestly though, I don't think anything they work up will be the same to what that megalomaniac created. Tragic tale.
yeah not holding out for warehouse parties but cool to see new venue in the works. the plans I've seen for the post are really cool but still sad to see
