Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This reminds me of that time some guy’s mom heard about the bonnaroo headliners on a train or whatever. I personally think it’s too convenient that some random redditor with an interest in this fest picked them up in the midst of this “important” conversation.
That said, any fest that loads their grounds with high dollar installations/roster with expensive talent while not selling all that many tix is inevitably doomed.

"Day for Night isn't going away! Looks erooneous!!"
nice, thanks for reaching out to the producer.
how about reaching out again and asking if we could get some fucking t-shirts? inforoo fluffs day for night hardcore. i think some free t-shirts isn't an unreasonable request.

i feel like you aren't far enough into the podcast to know the outcome of the t-shirt requests...

i'm about 1/3rd of the way through the Songs of Innocence episode (the first ep after the end of "season 1", or the commentary episode). they did a bit with the stinky t-shirts from bono's bedroom floor but i don't think that's the final outcome you are alluding to. looking forward to it.
LOL @ comparing this to that Roo train headliner incident nailed it
I don't believe any of it. They got rated best festival in the country already and it is widely known it takes up to 5 years for fests to start being profitable.
Anyways, yea, it would definitely suck if D4N didn't happen. Maybe posting about this via DM to their fubu or on their wall will get them to announce dates sooner.

Maddog and I had shirts made with the Joshua Tree in gold and "Fuckin U2 T-Shirt" written on them for Bonnaroo last year. The idea was to go to the live podcast recording and give a couple to the Scotts. But they fucking cancelled.

i'm kind of glad i wasn't listening to the podcast last year when they were announced for the lineup, because i probably would have convinced myself to go just for them and been devastated when they cancelled. sorry you had to go through that bro.

I mean, it sucked, but I already had a ticket when that appearance was announced. It was more of a bonus that I was super, duper excited about. The podcast did help me get legit into U2, so I still got to see them, and that was cool.

That and the super troopers read through, tsk tsk..
So you guys are starting a gofundme selling t-shirts to keep this going? I hear Post is pretty cheap.
Clearly clarification is needed.
1. We wanted some free t-shirts from D4N because we do such a good job promoting the festival. 2. Because we demanded free t-shirts, the Houston Free Press is reporting that Day For Night has been cancelled, due to what is now being dubbed "The T-Shirt Fiasco". 3. As such, we have decided to pull ourselves up by our buttstraps and start our own Day For Night festival. 4. The first artist proposed for Day For Night II was Four Tet. 5. It was determined that the booking fee for Four Tet is $500. 6. As such, we will start a gofundme in order to raise the $500 necessary to book Four Tet.

Just so yall know, there is not a paper called Houston Free Press.
There's the Houston Press and Free Press Houston, the latter of which founded Free Press Summerfest and later Day for Night (or the same people were involved, anyway).
In all seriousness, figuring out a way for this community to crowd source a fest is something I’ve thought about for some time. You can laugh if you must.
