Aphex Twin vs Run the Jewels and Kaskade vs Travis Scott was a really dumb way to schedule the two nights in 2016. It bears repeating.
Aphex Twin was an easy choice. And there are a lot of people who've never heard of Aphex Twin and didn't give a shit, making RTJ the perfect substitute. The type of nerds who love Aphex Twin likely had already seen RTJ three times that year.
Regarding Kaskade vs. Travis Scott, i had a chopped liver sandwich leftover from lunch in the fridge, I left early to eat that. Another easy choice.
I've only uploaded the Lollapalooza lineup "drip" so far. It's the better and more recent episode of the two. Basically, Maddog (who is named Kyle IRL) and I (Harold IRL) get fed names from the Lolla lineup one-by-one and give our reaction.
A few notes:
Kyle's girlfriend gave us the names. She did not want to talk on-mic initially, despite my insistence. I feel like I need to say so because I sound like a huge dick at the beginning of the second segment if you don't know this.
Fiesta is a Texas grocery store chain that I wasn't sure existed anymore. It got bought by a California grocery chain literally a couple days after this was recorded.
We are wrong about lots of stuff, and I definitely hope y'all point out every instance of our ignorance.
I live across from fiesta. It's a good store honestly.
Fiesta is legit. It's just an obscure reference for people in other parts of the country lol. The company that bought it is called El Super. I don't know if their intention is to re-brand Fiestas or not.
Anyway, as Maddog says, "this isn't a podcast about Fiesta".

I'll never forget when they closed the piggly wiggly off University in Denton. 75% off everything, but for the first two days the only empty aisles were the boozey ones.

This reminds me of the Manchester Wal-Mart and how all of the orange juice is gone by 8 AM on Wednesday.

My childhood grocery store was a Piggly Wiggly in Denton. Different one though. That’s some real nostalgia for me.

I went there as often as I could, simply because it had the feel of a small town grocer and I liked that.
Looks like Ministry is out as they are playing Houston the Thursday before the fest. Carpenter Brut is opening, that would have been really cool to have both of them at the fest really. Damn.
I guess CB could technically play as they are off Saturday but would have to drive back from San Antonio and then drive to Phoenix. Not very likely.

Seeing them both locally, but I really wanted to see Carpenter Brut here.
