Someone want to try and convince me UGA isn’t better than ND or Oklahoma? This is pathetic.
Nope. I think we are all in agreement.
I'm not. Georgia lost to LSU by 20 and had their shot but couldn't close vs. Bama. Their good wins were...? Auburn? Kentucky? Florida? Mizzou? Pass. Georgia beats Bama and gets into the playoff along with Bama.

It’s certainly not an exact science pot. And I think they placed the right 4 so to speak. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other teams that could beat 3 and 4 this year. I actually think UGA (or LSU for that matter) could beat Notre Dame. Oklahoma is tougher to say. In the end it’s going to be Clemson vs Alabama for the Championship. And they are clearly the two best teams in college football. Also Clemson (for my money) is the only team that’s capable of giving Alabama a run for its money this year. So to your point about UGA, yeah. Beat Alabama this season and join them in the playoffs.
It's been like this every year. Semis are blowouts and championship ends up being a great game. As long they keep getting the final 2 right that's all that matters.

Of course there are teams that could beat 3 and 4 (Texas beat 4, for example). But you have to do the best you can to get the four most deserving/best teams. Georgia had a bad day on October 13 in Baton Rouge. They could have overcome that by beating Alabama, and I think it's fair that they don't overcome it with that second loss.

Yeah those games are garbage. Why would anyone watch those games anyway.

Nothing proves the right 2 teams got in the championship like having cakewalk semifinal games.
I mean, it's likely true this time around but it's not because the system worked every step of the way.

Oh fuck off Clemson won’t even fair as well as ou.

Also, Notre Dame fucking sucks ass.
It's been 2 dominant teams pretty much every year. Only last year was more competitive. There's always going to be an argument for the teams that don't get in but they all hhad their chances.

Six team playoff.
6) Georgia v 3) Notre Dame 5) Ohio State v 4) Oklahoma 2) Clemson - Bye 1) Alabama - Bye
No one else deserved it this year and the seventh team never does. 8 is too many. Only one more game for two teams. Start the games one week earlier.
As much as I hate to say it, Georgia is the third best team in the country. Prove me wrong/fight me. Example: What would you put the UGA/ND spread at knowing what we know now? UGA-6?
Is Mike Locksley a star or does he have an NFL team against college players? I think it's both.
3 and 4 didn't really matter. We've been heading toward a Clemson-Alabama championship game most of the year.
You would think fate would give us something better to distract ourselves during these awful times.
I love it. Because to be the best you gotta beat the best wooooo.
It's going to be another great game. This is their best offense ever, it's our best offense ever. Our defense is better than theirs but their defense is still pretty great. I have no idea what's going to happen.

This is how I feel about the whole thing.
Clemson is Eric Roberts and Chris Penn.
Bama is nunchuks guy and kicking trees in the snow guy.

The same defense that Carolina threw for 500 yards on?

Yea weird things happen. 2 qbs had great days against us. 12 didn't. Which is more close to the truth?

Or when Clemson's defense goes up against half decent offenses they've been proven to not be great. The point is Clemson's defense is not better than Alabama's

ND has a great offense. The best that we've played against. Bama had bad games too like Arkansas. Clemson's defense is statistically better but both offenses are definitely going to score in this game. Both can run the ball and throw the ball around. It's hard to stop them because they have so many ways to beat you.

Richt apparently has announced his retirement from coaching. Surprisingly sad about this one.
Reports are Tennessee has offered Yurcich from Oklahoma State at a substantial raise. This would fit in with the idea that there hasn't been much news on that front because they made a choice weeks ago. There is competition though so we're not out of the woods yet.
In a surprise twist, reports are they've already hired Manny Diaz which might include a buyout to Temple since he was kinda supposed to be their head coach. The contract is supposedly not final though.
