Biggest drama takeaway aside from Pruitt kicking a white board was that Quart'e Sapp refused to go in the game when told to. Pruitt then "asked him to leave" the sideline. He made a reference to not knowing how things were done before, but that's not the way they are now. Said Sapp had been a great ambassador for the team until this point. In an unrelated question in the press conference, Pruitt stated it was time to find out who wanted to play and who didn't.
Sapp's side of the story which basically says that Pruitt is full of shit. He says there was a confrontation on the sidelines and the other party (the assumption is it is Pruitt) had to be restrained. Yay! Another rage monster coach!

To complete the weekend, Several members of the 1998 National Championship team were at the game for a celebration of the twentieth anniversary. One of them got arrested overnight for public intoxication. Go Vols!

ok so here are my thoughts on the penn state ohio state game this saturday.
we're both the best each other will face in the regular season. Yes, we graduated a ton of talent, but Sanders is more effective than Barkley because our Oline is actually competent this year. The biggest loss is not being able to throw to Gesicki in the red zone, but our QB draw plays are almost guaranteed touchdowns from the inside the 10. Our new shiny WR KJ Hamler is going to be a star, and I think this is coming out party to the rest of cfb, dude is a straight playmaker. I also think we have the edge at QB, I'll take a 3 year starter and heisman candidate vs a 1st year starter in his first true road game every day of the week and twice on saturday.
defensively is where ohio state can expose us. Our dline can't really generate pressure by themselves, our LBs are young, and our safties aren't that good. We do have solid corners tho, John Reid and Oruwariye are both NFL caliber CBs, they just haven't played like it this year. OSU should be able to run all over us. I don't know much about OSU's defense, but Nick Bosa being out is a major factor, but they probably have a 5 star backup, so I'm the sure dropoff in production will be mitigated.
the x factor is the white out. weird shit happens at the white out. we gave up 40+ points to pitt and michigan in 2016 but held osu to 21. the defense is going to give up yards, but they're going to have to come up stops in the red zone and come down with a couple turnovers. 2014 osu escaped because of a couple garbage calls, and we were pretty bad in 2014.
SEC should play 9 conference games. I get that 8games makes making the CFP easier, but it would make it easier to schedule. Make every conference play 9 games, especially since "winning your conference" is supposed to be a major criterion for making the CFP. (My pac12 is showing)
Selfishly, I like watching SEC so more SEC matchups would be fun.
