Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Maybe it's just my age but Bonnaroo is just getting worse year after year. This lineup to me is god awful with the exception of a few: Bon Iver, STS9, Glitch Mob.
Needless to say Coachella crushed it this year in every aspect.
I'll also add this just solidifies that Day 4 Night is the best festival in the U.S. right now.

This lineup feels like a punch to the gut. It seems just plain gross. The one or two artists I would be excited about seeing I wouldn't pay $400 to see. Just yesterday I explained how difficult it was to choose which fest to go to this year, but bonnaroo just made it very easy I'm going to save my $400 and use it to go to the fest with the lineup I love the most in my favorite city. I'm coming at you Boston My crippled ass doesn't need to be out in that gross heat anyway
Why is it that Bonnaroo seems to be the only big festival with so many little known bands? Is that intentional, how they mean to be different from other fests? This is the minor leagues of festival acts
Headliners are not exciting or interesting, but Muse puts on a good show.
Shockingly I'd be genuinely excited to see every artist on the second line. I like Future and Bassnectar. Love Sturgill, pleased to see him so high on the lineup. I'm not a giant Bon Iver fan but two sets from him is very cool.
Things drop off on the third line. Kaskade is pop EDM, but at least he was one of the "original" Vegas pop EDM guys. Given this lineup I bet I'd totally be at Sheryl Crow's set.
Below that: Anderson Paak is good. I've followed The Revivalists since the beginning of their career so I'm excited to see them get higher booking, but they've strayed into adult contemporary radio the past couple of years. Still a good live show. I've never cared for Porter Robinson. Chic of course is a highlight of this lineup. STS9 is always welcome. Brockhampton good. Broken Social Scene good. Never liked Jungle but I wonder if I just haven't listened to them enough. Trombone Shorty always a good time but I've seen him a ton. Thundercat, Mavis Staples are good bookings. Shiba San is dope, Dirty Bird and similar "fun" post-EDM music is our best chance of moving past horrible zero mixing EDM trash (and I'm not expecting Bonnaroo to book any kind of electronic music that approaches "progressive").
That gets me about halfway down the poster, things get murky for me after that. I'm sure there are more acts I would enjoy that I'm just not familiar with yet, as I'm sure there is plenty of garbage.
Chris Lake sounds familiar, I think he might be good? Like a genuine house DJ I think?
Anyway, I think the undercard is a big step up from 2016 and 2017. Overall my favorite Bonnaroo lineup since 2015. I don't think it's worth the expense, time off, etc. for me to attend, but I am happy to admit the lineup is not the disaster I thought it would be.
There are a handful of things that impress/excite me, like the two unique sets from Bon Iver, Niles Rodgers & Chic, The Glitch Mob, Alt J, Sturgill Simpson and Chromeo, but overall I think it's just an OK lineup. Eminem's also headlining elsewhere, The Killers are the definition of OK, and I just saw Muse headline last year at Life is Beautiful. Also, while I like Slyvan Esso, I can't believe they are on the fourth line of a major American festival poster. That seems way high. The same goes with Rebelution. That kind of speaks to the overall shallowness of this lineup. But that's just me.
It's kind of plain to me for a Bonnaroo. The bottom several rows are a mystery to me - I've heard of The Texas Gentlemen, Cyn and Spencer Ludwig. I could probably get some decent days out of this, but it's not exciting to me that much. The upper-card below the headliners and subheadliners has a lot of promotions. What I would see:
Eminem, The Killers*, Muse*, Future*, Bassnectar*, Sturgill, Bon Iver*, alt-J, Sheryl Crow, Andreson.Paak*, Sylvan Esso, Rebelution*, Moon Taxi*, Chic, STS9*, Brockhampton, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Glitch Mob*, Rag'n'Bone Man, Superjam, Broken Social Scene, T-Pain*, Tash Sultana, Manchester Orchestra, Shorty & Orleans Ave.*, Thundercat*, Mavis Staples, Big Wild*, Shiba San*, Denzel Curry*, Moses Sumney, Mr. Carmack*, Opiuo*, Durand Jones & the Indications, Space Jesus*, Manic Focus*, Boogie T* b2b Squnto*, Pigeon's Playing Ping Pong*, Spafford*, Ron Gallo*, Pond, Loudpvck*.
What I wouldn't see Khalid, Paramore, Kaskade, Chromeo, Alison Wonderland, What So Not, Slander, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Snakehips, k?d (how is k?d in the middle of the lineup? I saw his first ever festival performance last year and it wasn't very good), Mija b2b BIlly Kenny...
The rest of the stuff in the top half I'm either indifferent on or don't know well enough. This would make for 3 pretty great Voodoo or other random 11 hour city fest days. But since it's 4 days and lots of nights, it's just missing some zip. There's some cool jam on there with Pigeons, STS9 and Spafford. There is some decent rock. And there's some decent hiphop obviously with Future, Eminem, Denzel Curry and others. T-Pain is okay, but last I saw him was way too R&B.
Could someone please leak Panorama's lineup or something so I can get this bad taste out of my mouth? I was really hoping to go to Roo this year, but really the only acts I'd be excited for that I haven't already seen and aren't playing at nearer fests are Muse, Anderson .paak, and Chic. I don't think that's enough for me.

I’m listening to the Spotify playlist and so far I’ve really enjoyed songs by (previously unknown to me) Knox Fortune (Chance the Rapper associate), Shiba San, and Durand Jones
So I have a feeling I’ll discover some new shit from this lineup, just like last year (except this year there’s way more I’m already interested in)
